And they returned, and came to Enmishpat, which is
Kadesh, and smote all the country of the Amalekites, and also the Amorites, that dwelt in Hazezontamar.
And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau's son; and she bare to Eliphaz Amalek: these were
the sons of Adah Esau's wife.
Duke Korah, duke Gatam, and
duke Amalek: these are
the dukes that came
of Eliphaz in the land of Edom; these were
the sons of Adah.
Then came Amalek, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.
And Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand.
So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.
And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.
And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this for
a memorial in a book, and rehearse it
in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.
For he said, Because the LORD hath sworn that
the LORD will have
war with Amalek from generation to generation.
Of the children of Joseph: of Ephraim; Elishama the son of Ammihud: of Manasseh; Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.
And by him shall be
the tribe of Manasseh: and the captain of the children of Manasseh shall be
Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.
On the eighth day offered
Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur, prince of the children of Manasseh:
And for a sacrifice of peace offerings, two oxen, five rams, five he goats, five lambs of the first year: this was
the offering of Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.
And over the host of the tribe of the children of Manasseh was
Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.
The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.
(Now the Amalekites and the Canaanites dwelt in the valley.) To morrow turn you, and get you into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea.
For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are
there before you, and ye shall fall by the sword: because ye are turned away from the LORD, therefore the LORD will not be with you.
Then the Amalekites came down, and the Canaanites which dwelt in that hill, and smote them, and discomfited them, even
And when he looked on Amalek, he took up his parable, and said, Amalek was
the first of the nations; but his latter end shall be
that he perish for ever.
Remember what Amalek did unto thee by the way, when ye were come forth out of Egypt;
Therefore it shall be, when the LORD thy God hath given thee rest from all thine enemies round about, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for
an inheritance to possess it, that
thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; thou shalt not forget it
And he gathered unto him the children of Ammon and Amalek, and went and smote Israel, and possessed the city of palm trees.
Out of Ephraim was there
a root of them against Amalek; after thee, Benjamin, among thy people; out of Machir came down governors, and out of Zebulun they that handle the pen of the writer.
it was, when Israel had sown, that the Midianites came up, and the Amalekites, and the children of the east, even they came up against them;
Then all the Midianites and the Amalekites and the children of the east were gathered together, and went over, and pitched in the valley of Jezreel.
And the Midianites and the Amalekites and all the children of the east lay along in the valley like grasshoppers for multitude; and their camels were
without number, as the sand by the sea side for multitude.
The Zidonians also, and the Amalekites, and the Maonites, did oppress you; and ye cried to me, and I delivered you out of their hand.
And Abdon the son of Hillel the Pirathonite died, and was buried in Pirathon in the land of Ephraim, in the mount of the Amalekites.
