Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified. But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God. show less

{To the chief Musician, A Psalm Of David.} O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether. read more Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee. For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee. Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men. For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain. Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies. Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. show less

And it was told the house Of David, saying, Syria is confederate with Ephraim. And his heart was moved, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the wood are moved with the wind.
And he said, Hear ye now, O house Of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also?
Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne Of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
And in mercy shall the throne be established: and he shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle Of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hasting righteousness.
Ye have seen also the breaches of the city Of David, that they are many: and ye gathered together the waters of the lower pool.
And the key of the house Of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.
Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God Of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.
Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies Of David.
Then shall there enter into the gates of this city kings and princes sitting upon the throne Of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they, and their princes, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem: and this city shall remain for ever.
O house Of David, thus saith the LORD; Execute judgment in the morning, and deliver him that is spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my fury go out like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.
And say, Hear the word of the LORD, O king of Judah, that sittest upon the throne Of David, thou, and thy servants, and thy people that enter in by these gates:
For if ye do this thing indeed, then shall there enter in by the gates of this house kings sitting upon the throne Of David, riding in chariots and on horses, he, and his servants, and his people.
Thus saith the LORD, Write ye this man childless, a man that shall not prosper in his days: for no man of his seed shall prosper, sitting upon the throne Of David, and ruling any more in Judah.
Know that thus saith the LORD of the king that sitteth upon the throne Of David, and of all the people that dwelleth in this city, and of your brethren that are not gone forth with you into captivity;
As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed Of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.
Therefore thus saith the LORD of Jehoiakim king of Judah; He shall have none to sit upon the throne Of David: and his dead body shall be cast out in the day to the heat, and in the night to the frost.
In that day will I raise up the tabernacle Of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:
The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house Of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah.
In that day shall the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house Of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.
And I will pour upon the house Of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house Of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;
In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house Of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.
But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son Of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son Of David, have mercy on us.
And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son Of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.
And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son Of David.
And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou Son Of David.

Which was the son of Melea, which was the son of Menan, which was the son of Mattatha, which was the son of Nathan, which was the son Of David,
And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou Son Of David, have mercy on me.
Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed Of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?
Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth Of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.
Which also our fathers that came after brought in with Jesus into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drave out before the face of our fathers, unto the days Of David;
And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure mercies Of David.
After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle Of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed Of David according to the flesh;
Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed Of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:

And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root Of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring Of David, and the bright and morning star.
