And Moses said, Wherefore now do ye transgress the commandment of the LORD? but it shall not prosper. Go not up, for the LORD is not among you; that ye be not smitten before your enemies. For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there before you, and ye shall fall by the sword: because ye are turned away from the LORD, therefore the LORD will not be with you. But they presumed to go up unto the hill top: nevertheless the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and Moses, departed not out of the camp. When all Israel is come to appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose, thou shalt read this law Before all Israel in their hearing.
There was not a word of all that Moses commanded, which Joshua read not Before all the congregation of Israel, with the women, and the little ones, and the strangers that were conversant among them.

And Moses spake unto Aaron, Say unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, Come near Before the LORD: for he hath heard your murmurings.
And Jethro, Moses' father in law, took a burnt offering and sacrifices for God: and Aaron came, and all the elders of Israel, to eat bread with Moses' father in law Before God.
And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid Before their faces all these words which the LORD commanded him.
For all manner of trespass, whether it be for ox, for ass, for sheep, for raiment, or for any manner of lost thing, which another challengeth to be his, the cause of both parties shall come Before the judges; and whom the judges shall condemn, he shall pay double unto his neighbour.

And he shall put some of the blood upon the horns of the altar which is Before the LORD, that is in the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall pour out all the blood at the bottom of the altar of the burnt offering, which is at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
And the priest shall make an atonement for him Before the LORD: and it shall be forgiven him for any thing of all that he hath done in trespassing therein.
And he put all upon Aaron's hands, and upon his sons' hands, and waved them for a wave offering Before the LORD.
And they brought that which Moses commanded Before the tabernacle of the congregation: and all the congregation drew near and stood Before the LORD.
And there came a fire out from Before the LORD, and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat: which when all the people saw, they shouted, and fell on their faces.
Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the LORD spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and Before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.
Then the priest shall command that they empty the house, Before the priest go into it to see the plague, that all that is in the house be not made unclean: and afterward the priest shall go in to see the house:
And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy place within the vail Before the mercy seat, which is upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat. Thus shall Aaron come into the holy place: with a young bullock for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering. He shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen breeches upon his flesh, and shall be girded with a linen girdle, and with the linen mitre shall he be attired: these are holy garments; therefore shall he wash his flesh in water, and so put them on. And he shall take of the congregation of the children of Israel two kids of the goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering. read more And Aaron shall offer his bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make an atonement for himself, and for his house. And he shall take the two goats, and present them Before the LORD at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for the LORD, and the other lot for the scapegoat. And Aaron shall bring the goat upon which the LORD'S lot fell, and offer him for a sin offering. But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat, shall be presented alive Before the LORD, to make an atonement with him, and to let him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness. And Aaron shall bring the bullock of the sin offering, which is for himself, and shall make an atonement for himself, and for his house, and shall kill the bullock of the sin offering which is for himself: And he shall take a censer full of burning coals of fire from off the altar Before the LORD, and his hands full of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it within the vail: And he shall put the incense upon the fire Before the LORD, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat that is upon the testimony, that he die not: And he shall take of the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it with his finger upon the mercy seat eastward; and Before the mercy seat shall he sprinkle of the blood with his finger seven times. Then shall he kill the goat of the sin offering, that is for the people, and bring his blood within the vail, and do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the mercy seat, and Before the mercy seat: And he shall make an atonement for the holy place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions in all their sins: and so shall he do for the tabernacle of the congregation, that remaineth among them in the midst of their uncleanness. And there shall be no man in the tabernacle of the congregation when he goeth in to make an atonement in the holy place, until he come out, and have made an atonement for himself, and for his household, and for all the congregation of Israel. And he shall go out unto the altar that is Before the LORD, and make an atonement for it; and shall take of the blood of the bullock, and of the blood of the goat, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about. And he shall sprinkle of the blood upon it with his finger seven times, and cleanse it, and hallow it from the uncleanness of the children of Israel. And when he hath made an end of reconciling the holy place, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar, he shall bring the live goat: And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness: And the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land not inhabited: and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness. And Aaron shall come into the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall put off the linen garments, which he put on when he went into the holy place, and shall leave them there: And he shall wash his flesh with water in the holy place, and put on his garments, and come forth, and offer his burnt offering, and the burnt offering of the people, and make an atonement for himself, and for the people. And the fat of the sin offering shall he burn upon the altar. And he that let go the goat for the scapegoat shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward come into the camp. And the bullock for the sin offering, and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the holy place, shall one carry forth without the camp; and they shall burn in the fire their skins, and their flesh, and their dung. And he that burneth them shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp. And this shall be a statute for ever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourneth among you: For on that day shall the priest make an atonement for you, to cleanse you, that ye may be clean from all your sins Before the LORD. It shall be a sabbath of rest unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls, by a statute for ever. And the priest, whom he shall anoint, and whom he shall consecrate to minister in the priest's office in his father's stead, shall make the atonement, and shall put on the linen clothes, even the holy garments: And he shall make an atonement for the holy sanctuary, and he shall make an atonement for the tabernacle of the congregation, and for the altar, and he shall make an atonement for the priests, and for all the people of the congregation. And this shall be an everlasting statute unto you, to make an atonement for the children of Israel for all their sins once a year. And he did as the LORD commanded Moses. show less

I the LORD have said, I will surely do it unto all this evil congregation, that are gathered together against me: in this wilderness they shall be consumed, and there they shall die. And the men, which Moses sent to search the land, who returned, and made all the congregation to murmur against him, by bringing up a slander upon the land, Even those men that did bring up the evil report upon the land, died by the plague Before the LORD. But Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of the men that went to search the land, lived still. And Moses told these sayings unto all the children of Israel: and the people mourned greatly. And they rose up early in the morning, and gat them up into the top of the mountain, saying, Lo, we be here, and will go up unto the place which the LORD hath promised: for we have sinned. And Moses said, Wherefore now do ye transgress the commandment of the LORD? but it shall not prosper. Go not up, for the LORD is not among you; that ye be not smitten Before your enemies. For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there Before you, and ye shall fall by the sword: because ye are turned away from the LORD, therefore the LORD will not be with you. But they presumed to go up unto the hill top: nevertheless the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and Moses, departed not out of the camp. Then the Amalekites came down, and the Canaanites which dwelt in that hill, and smote them, and discomfited them, even unto Hormah. show less
But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. And the glory of the LORD appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation Before all the children of Israel.
And the priest shall make an atonement for all the congregation of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them; for it is ignorance: and they shall bring their offering, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD, and their sin offering Before the LORD, for their ignorance:
And Moses said unto Korah, Be thou and all thy company Before the LORD, thou, and they, and Aaron, to morrow:
And Moses brought out all the rods from Before the LORD unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.
all the heave offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel offer unto the LORD, have I given thee, and thy sons and thy daughters with thee, by a statute for ever: it is a covenant of salt for ever Before the LORD unto thee and to thy seed with thee.
And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up Before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.
And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping Before the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
And they stood Before Moses, and Before Eleazar the priest, and Before the princes and all the congregation, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,
And set him Before Eleazar the priest, and Before all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight.
And he shall stand Before Eleazar the priest, who shall ask counsel for him after the judgment of Urim Before the LORD: at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.
And Moses did as the LORD commanded him: and he took Joshua, and set him Before Eleazar the priest, and Before all the congregation:
And will go all of you armed over Jordan Before the LORD, until he hath driven out his enemies from Before him,
Then ye shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from Before you, and destroy all their pictures, and destroy all their molten images, and quite pluck down all their high places:
The LORD your God which goeth Before you, he shall fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt Before your eyes;
And the LORD our God delivered him Before us; and we smote him, and his sons, and all his people.
And I commanded you at that time, saying, The LORD your God hath given you this land to possess it: ye shall pass over armed Before your brethren the children of Israel, all that are meet for the war.
And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set Before you this day?
Specially the day that thou stoodest Before the LORD thy God in Horeb, when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children.
Or hath God assayed to go and take him a nation from the midst of another nation, by temptations, by signs, and by wonders, and by war, and by a mighty hand, and by a stretched out arm, and by great terrors, according to all that the LORD your God did for you in Egypt Before your eyes?
And the LORD shewed signs and wonders, great and sore, upon Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his household, Before our eyes:
And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments Before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us.
And I fell down Before the LORD, as at the first, forty days and forty nights: I did neither eat bread, nor drink water, because of all your sins which ye sinned, in doing wickedly in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
Then will the LORD drive out all these nations from Before you, and ye shall possess greater nations and mightier than yourselves.
There shall no man be able to stand Before you: for the LORD your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you upon all the land that ye shall tread upon, as he hath said unto you.
And ye shall observe to do all the statutes and judgments which I set Before you this day.
And there ye shall eat Before the LORD your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein the LORD thy God hath blessed thee.
But thou must eat them Before the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD thy God shall choose, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates: and thou shalt rejoice Before the LORD thy God in all that thou puttest thine hands unto.
Three times in a year shall all thy males appear Before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear Before the LORD empty:
Then he shall minister in the name of the LORD his God, as all his brethren the Levites do, which stand there Before the LORD.
For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from Before thee.
Then thou shalt say Before the LORD thy God, I have brought away the hallowed things out of mine house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them:
The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten Before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways Before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.
And Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, Ye have seen all that the LORD did Before your eyes in the land of Egypt unto Pharaoh, and unto all his servants, and unto all his land;
Ye stand this day all of you Before the LORD your God; your captains of your tribes, your elders, and your officers, with all the men of Israel,
And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set Before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee,
And the LORD shall give them up Before your face, that ye may do unto them according unto all the commandments which I have commanded you.
When all Israel is come to appear Before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose, thou shalt read this law Before all Israel in their hearing.
There shall not any man be able to stand Before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
Your wives, your little ones, and your cattle, shall remain in the land which Moses gave you on this side Jordan; but ye shall pass Before your brethren armed, all the mighty men of valour, and help them;
And Joshua rose early in the morning; and they removed from Shittim, and came to Jordan, he and all the children of Israel, and lodged there Before they passed over.
Behold, the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth passeth over Before you into Jordan.
And it came to pass, when the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD were come up out of the midst of Jordan, and the soles of the priests' feet were lifted up unto the dry land, that the waters of Jordan returned unto their place, and flowed over all his banks, as they did Before.
And it came to pass, when all the kings of the Amorites, which were on the side of Jordan westward, and all the kings of the Canaanites, which were by the sea, heard that the LORD had dried up the waters of Jordan from Before the children of Israel, until we were passed over, that their heart melted, neither was there spirit in them any more, because of the children of Israel.
And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight Before him.
And they took them out of the midst of the tent, and brought them unto Joshua, and unto all the children of Israel, and laid them out Before the LORD.
And I, and all the people that are with me, will approach unto the city: and it shall come to pass, when they come out against us, as at the first, that we will flee Before them,
And all the people, even the people of war that were with him, went up, and drew nigh, and came Before the city, and pitched on the north side of Ai: now there was a valley between them and Ai.
And it came to pass, when the king of Ai saw it, that they hasted and rose up early, and the men of the city went out against Israel to battle, he and all his people, at a time appointed, Before the plain; but he wist not that there were liers in ambush against him behind the city.
And Joshua and all Israel made as if they were beaten Before them, and fled by the way of the wilderness.
And all Israel, and their elders, and officers, and their judges, stood on this side the ark and on that side Before the priests the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, as well the stranger, as he that was born among them; half of them over against mount Gerizim, and half of them over against mount Ebal; as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded Before, that they should bless the people of Israel.
There was not a word of all that Moses commanded, which Joshua read not Before all the congregation of Israel, with the women, and the little ones, and the strangers that were conversant among them.
And they answered Joshua, and said, Because it was certainly told thy servants, how that the LORD thy God commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land, and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from Before you, therefore we were sore afraid of our lives because of you, and have done this thing.
Therefore the five kings of the Amorites, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, the king of Eglon, gathered themselves together, and went up, they and all their hosts, and encamped Before Gibeon, and made war against it.
And the LORD said unto Joshua, Be not afraid because of them: for to morrow about this time will I deliver them up all slain Before Israel: thou shalt hough their horses, and burn their chariots with fire.
all the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon unto Misrephothmaim, and all the Sidonians, them will I drive out from Before the children of Israel: only divide thou it by lot unto the Israelites for an inheritance, as I have commanded thee.
And their coast was Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the children of Ammon, unto Aroer that is Before Rabbah;
These were the cities appointed for all the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them, that whosoever killeth any person at unawares might flee thither, and not die by the hand of the avenger of blood, until he stood Before the congregation.
And the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that he sware unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies Before them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.
And Joshua gathered all the tribes of Israel to Shechem, and called for the elders of Israel, and for their heads, and for their judges, and for their officers; and they presented themselves Before God.
And the LORD drave out from Before us all the people, even the Amorites which dwelt in the land: therefore will we also serve the LORD; for he is our God.
And the LORD discomfited Sisera, and all his chariots, and all his host, with the edge of the sword Before Barak; so that Sisera lighted down off his chariot, and fled away on his feet.
And I delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of all that oppressed you, and drave them out from Before you, and gave you their land; And I said unto you, I am the LORD your God; fear not the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but ye have not obeyed my voice. And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house. And the LORD said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man. And he said unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight, then shew me a sign that thou talkest with me. Depart not hence, I pray thee, until I come unto thee, and bring forth my present, and set it Before thee. And he said, I will tarry until thou come again. And Gideon went in, and made ready a kid, and unleavened cakes of an ephah of flour: the flesh he put in a basket, and he put the broth in a pot, and brought it out unto him under the oak, and presented it. And the angel of God said unto him, Take the flesh and the unleavened cakes, and lay them upon this rock, and pour out the broth. And he did so. Then the angel of the LORD put forth the end of the staff that was in his hand, and touched the flesh and the unleavened cakes; and there rose up fire out of the rock, and consumed the flesh and the unleavened cakes. Then the angel of the LORD departed out of his sight. show less
And Gideon sent messengers throughout all mount Ephraim, saying, Come down against the Midianites, and take Before them the waters unto Bethbarah and Jordan. Then all the men of Ephraim gathered themselves together, and took the waters unto Bethbarah and Jordan.
Then Jephthah went with the elders of Gilead, and the people made him head and captain over them: and Jephthah uttered all his words Before the LORD in Mizpeh.
And Samson lay till midnight, and arose at midnight, and took the doors of the gate of the city, and the two posts, and went away with them, bar and all, and put them upon his shoulders, and carried them up to the top of an hill that is Before Hebron.
Then all the children of Israel, and all the people, went up, and came unto the house of God, and wept, and sat there Before the LORD, and fasted that day until even, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings Before the LORD.
And the LORD smote Benjamin Before Israel: and the children of Israel destroyed of the Benjamites that day twenty and five thousand and an hundred men: all these drew the sword.
And did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to offer upon mine altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod Before me? and did I give unto the house of thy father all the offerings made by fire of the children of Israel?
That we also may be like all the nations; and that our king may judge us, and go out Before us, and fight our battles.
And Samuel answered Saul, and said, I am the seer: go up Before me unto the high place; for ye shall eat with me to day, and to morrow I will let thee go, and will tell thee all that is in thine heart.
And ye have this day rejected your God, who himself saved you out of all your adversities and your tribulations; and ye have said unto him, Nay, but set a king over us. Now therefore present yourselves Before the LORD by your tribes, and by your thousands.
Then Samuel told the people the manner of the kingdom, and wrote it in a book, and laid it up Before the LORD. And Samuel sent all the people away, every man to his house.
And all the people went to Gilgal; and there they made Saul king Before the LORD in Gilgal; and there they sacrificed sacrifices of peace offerings Before the LORD; and there Saul and all the men of Israel rejoiced greatly.
Now therefore stand still, that I may reason with you Before the LORD of all the righteous acts of the LORD, which he did to you and to your fathers.
And he stripped off his clothes also, and prophesied Before Samuel in like manner, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. Wherefore they say, Is Saul also among the prophets?
And he brought them Before the king of Moab: and they dwelt with him all the while that David was in the hold.
And David took all the flocks and the herds, which they drave Before those other cattle, and said, This is David's spoil.

When Joab saw that the front of the battle was against him Before and behind, he chose of all the choice men of Israel, and put them in array against the Syrians:
And when all the kings that were servants to Hadarezer saw that they were smitten Before Israel, they made peace with Israel, and served them. So the Syrians feared to help the children of Ammon any more.

For all of my father's house were but dead men Before my lord the king: yet didst thou set thy servant among them that did eat at thine own table. What right therefore have I yet to cry any more unto the king?
And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them in the hill Before the LORD: and they fell all seven together, and were put to death in the days of harvest, in the first days, in the beginning of barley harvest.
For all his judgments were Before me: and as for his statutes, I did not depart from them.
For he is gone down this day, and hath slain oxen and fat cattle and sheep in abundance, and hath called all the king's sons, and the captains of the host, and Abiathar the priest; and, behold, they eat and drink Before him, and say, God save king Adonijah.
That the LORD may continue his word which he spake concerning me, saying, If thy children take heed to their way, to walk Before me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail thee (said he) a man on the throne of Israel.
And unto Abiathar the priest said the king, Get thee to Anathoth, unto thine own fields; for thou art worthy of death: but I will not at this time put thee to death, because thou barest the ark of the Lord GOD Before David my father, and because thou hast been afflicted in all wherein my father was afflicted.
And Solomon awoke; and, behold, it was a dream. And he came to Jerusalem, and stood Before the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and offered up burnt offerings, and offered peace offerings, and made a feast to all his servants.
And king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel, that were assembled unto him, were with him Before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen, that could not be told nor numbered for multitude.
And Solomon stood Before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven:
And he said, LORD God of Israel, there is no God like thee, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who keepest covenant and mercy with thy servants that walk Before thee with all their heart:
And forgive thy people that have sinned against thee, and all their transgressions wherein they have transgressed against thee, and give them compassion Before them who carried them captive, that they may have compassion on them:
And it was so, that when Solomon had made an end of praying all this prayer and supplication unto the LORD, he arose from Before the altar of the LORD, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven.
And let these my words, wherewith I have made supplication Before the LORD, be nigh unto the LORD our God day and night, that he maintain the cause of his servant, and the cause of his people Israel at all times, as the matter shall require:
And at that time Solomon held a feast, and all Israel with him, a great congregation, from the entering in of Hamath unto the river of Egypt, Before the LORD our God, seven days and seven days, even fourteen days.
And if thou wilt walk Before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:
But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set Before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:
But hast done evil above all that were Before thee: for thou hast gone and made thee other gods, and molten images, to provoke me to anger, and hast cast me behind thy back:
And there were also sodomites in the land: and they did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD cast out Before the children of Israel.
And he walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done Before him: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as the heart of David his father.
But Omri wrought evil in the eyes of the LORD, and did worse than all that were Before him.
And Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the LORD above all that were Before him.
And Ahab made a grove; and Ahab did more to provoke the LORD God of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel that were Before him.
And the children of Israel were numbered, and were all present, and went against them: and the children of Israel pitched Before them like two little flocks of kids; but the Syrians filled the country.
And he did very abominably in following idols, according to all things as did the Amorites, whom the LORD cast out Before the children of Israel.
And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah sat each on his throne, having put on their robes, in a void place in the entrance of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets prophesied Before them.
And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood Before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, take a blessing of thy servant.
And all the people of the land went into the house of Baal, and brake it down; his altars and his images brake they in pieces thoroughly, and slew Mattan the priest of Baal Before the altars. And the priest appointed officers over the house of the LORD.
And there they burnt incense in all the high places, as did the heathen whom the LORD carried away Before them; and wrought wicked things to provoke the LORD to anger:
He trusted in the LORD God of Israel; so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor any that were Before him.
And Hezekiah prayed Before the LORD, and said, O LORD God of Israel, which dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth.
Because Manasseh king of Judah hath done these abominations, and hath done wickedly above all that the Amorites did, which were Before him, and hath made Judah also to sin with his idols:
And the king stood by a pillar, and made a covenant Before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes with all their heart and all their soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people stood to the covenant.
And like unto him was there no king Before him, that turned to the LORD with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses; neither after him arose there any like him.
And changed his prison garments: and he did eat bread continually Before him all the days of his life.
Therefore came all the elders of Israel to the king to Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron Before the LORD; and they anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD by Samuel.
And David and all Israel played Before God with all their might, and with singing, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with cymbals, and with trumpets.
Fear Before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved.
And I have been with thee whithersoever thou hast walked, and have cut off all thine enemies from Before thee, and have made thee a name like the name of the great men that are in the earth.
Now when Joab saw that the battle was set against him Before and behind, he chose out of all the choice of Israel, and put them in array against the Syrians.
Either three years' famine; or three months to be destroyed Before thy foes, while that the sword of thine enemies overtaketh thee; or else three days the sword of the LORD, even the pestilence, in the land, and the angel of the LORD destroying throughout all the coasts of Israel. Now therefore advise thyself what word I shall bring again to him that sent me.
And David said, Solomon my son is young and tender, and the house that is to be builded for the LORD must be exceeding magnifical, of fame and of glory throughout all countries: I will therefore now make preparation for it. So David prepared abundantly Before his death.
And to offer all burnt sacrifices unto the LORD in the sabbaths, in the new moons, and on the set feasts, by number, according to the order commanded unto them, continually Before the LORD:
Howbeit the LORD God of Israel chose me Before all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever: for he hath chosen Judah to be the ruler; and of the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he liked me to make me king over all Israel:
Wherefore David blessed the LORD Before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed be thou, LORD God of Israel our father, for ever and ever.
For we are strangers Before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding.
And the LORD magnified Solomon exceedingly in the sight of all Israel, and bestowed upon him such royal majesty as had not been on any king Before him in Israel.
Also king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel that were assembled unto him Before the ark, sacrificed sheep and oxen, which could not be told nor numbered for multitude.
And he stood Before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands:
For Solomon had made a brasen scaffold, of five cubits long, and five cubits broad, and three cubits high, and had set it in the midst of the court: and upon it he stood, and kneeled down upon his knees Before all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven,
And said, O LORD God of Israel, there is no God like thee in the heaven, nor in the earth; which keepest covenant, and shewest mercy unto thy servants, that walk Before thee with all their hearts: Thou which hast kept with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him; and spakest with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as it is this day.
And the priests waited on their offices: the Levites also with instruments of musick of the LORD, which David the king had made to praise the LORD, because his mercy endureth for ever, when David praised by their ministry; and the priests sounded trumpets Before them, and all Israel stood.
