By lot was their inheritance, As the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses, For the nine tribes, and For the half tribe.
As yet I am As strong this day As I was in the day that Moses sent me: As my strength was then, even so is my strength now, For war, both to go out, and to come in.
Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day; For thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the LORD will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, As the LORD said.
As For the Jebusites the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the children of Judah could not drive them out: but the Jebusites dwell with the children of Judah at Jerusalem unto this day.
For the LORD hath driven out from before you great nations and strong: but As For you, no man hath been able to stand before you unto this day.
One man of you shall chase a thousand: For the LORD your God, he it is that fighteth For you, As he hath promised you.
And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but As For me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
Whithersoever they went out, the hand of the LORD was against them For evil, As the LORD had said, and As the LORD had sworn unto them: and they were greatly distressed.
For they came up with their cattle and their tents, and they came As grasshoppers For multitude; For both they and their camels were without number: and they entered into the land to destroy it.
And the Midianites and the Amalekites and all the children of the east lay along in the valley like grasshoppers For multitude; and their camels were without number, As the sand by the sea side For multitude.
Then Zebah and Zalmunna said, Rise thou, and fall upon us: For As the man is, so is his strength. And Gideon arose, and slew Zebah and Zalmunna, and took away the ornaments that were on their camels' necks.
And she said unto him, My father, if thou hast opened thy mouth unto the LORD, do to me according to that which hath proceeded out of thy mouth; forasmuch As the LORD hath taken vengeance For thee of thine enemies, even of the children of Ammon.
And when the men of Israel retired in the battle, Benjamin began to smite and kill of the men of Israel about thirty persons: For they said, Surely they are smitten down before us, As in the first battle.
And he said, Blessed be thou of the LORD, my daughter: For thou hast shewed more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, inasmuch As thou followedst not young men, whether poor or rich.
There is none holy As the LORD: For there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.
And the LORD came, and stood, and called As at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; For thy servant heareth.
As soon As ye be come into the city, ye shall straightway find him, before he go up to the high place to eat: For the people will not eat until he come, because he doth bless the sacrifice; and afterwards they eat that be bidden. Now therefore get you up; For about this time ye shall find him.
And As For thine asses that were lost three days ago, set not thy mind on them; For they are found. And on whom is all the desire of Israel? Is it not on thee, and on all thy father's house?
And let it be, when these signs are come unto thee, that thou do As occasion serve thee; For God is with thee.
Moreover As For me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray For you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:
And some of the Hebrews went over Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead. As For Saul, he was yet in Gilgal, and all the people followed him trembling.
For, As the LORD liveth, which saveth Israel, though it be in Jonathan my son, he shall surely die. But there was not a man among all the people that answered him.
And the people said unto Saul, Shall Jonathan die, who hath wrought this great salvation in Israel? God forbid: As the LORD liveth, there shall not one hair of his head fall to the ground; For he hath wrought with God this day. So the people rescued Jonathan, that he died not.
For rebellion is As the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is As iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: For the LORD seeth not As man seeth; For man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.
And David rose up early in the morning, and left the sheep with a keeper, and took, and went, As Jesse had commanded him; and he came to the trench, As the host was going forth to the fight, and shouted For the battle.
And Jonathan caused David to swear again, because he loved him: For he loved him As he loved his own soul.
And, behold, I will send a lad, saying, Go, find out the arrows. If I expressly say unto the lad, Behold, the arrows are on this side of thee, take them; then come thou: For there is peace to thee, and no hurt; As the LORD liveth.
And As touching the matter which thou and I have spoken of, behold, the LORD be between thee and me For ever.
For As long As the son of Jesse liveth upon the ground, thou shalt not be established, nor thy kingdom. Wherefore now send and fetch him unto me, For he shall surely die.
And Jonathan said to David, Go in peace, forasmuch As we have sworn both of us in the name of the LORD, saying, The LORD be between me and thee, and between my seed and thy seed For ever. And he arose and departed: and Jonathan went into the city.
That all of you have conspired against me, and there is none that sheweth me that my son hath made a league with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you that is sorry For me, or sheweth unto me that my son hath stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, As at this day?
And Saul said unto him, Why have ye conspired against me, thou and the son of Jesse, in that thou hast given him bread, and a sword, and hast inquired of God For him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, As at this day?
Let not my lord, I pray thee, regard this man of Belial, even Nabal: For As his name is, so is he; Nabal is his name, and folly is with him: but I thine handmaid saw not the young men of my lord, whom thou didst send.
For in very deed, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, which hath kept me back from hurting thee, except thou hadst hasted and come to meet me, surely there had not been left unto Nabal by the morning light any that pisseth against the wall.
Now therefore, let not my blood fall to the earth before the face of the LORD: For the king of Israel is come out to seek a flea, As when one doth hunt a partridge in the mountains.
And David and his men went up, and invaded the Geshurites, and the Gezrites, and the Amalekites: For those nations were of old the inhabitants of the land, As thou goest to Shur, even unto the land of Egypt.
And Saul sware to her by the LORD, saying, As the LORD liveth, there shall no punishment happen to thee For this thing.
And the LORD hath done to him, As he spake by me: For the LORD hath rent the kingdom out of thine hand, and given it to thy neighbour, even to David:
Then Achish called David, and said unto him, Surely, As the LORD liveth, thou hast been upright, and thy going out and thy coming in with me in the host is good in my sight: For I have not found evil in thee since the day of thy coming unto me unto this day: nevertheless the lords favour thee not.
For who will hearken unto you in this matter? but As his part is that goeth down to the battle, so shall his part be that tarrieth by the stuff: they shall part alike.
Ye mountains of Gilboa, let there be no dew, neither let there be rain, upon you, nor fields of offerings: For there the shield of the mighty is vilely cast away, the shield of Saul, As though he had not been anointed with oil.
Moreover I will appoint a place For my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own, and move no more; neither shall the children of wickedness afflict them any more, As beforetime,
And now, O LORD God, the word that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant, and concerning his house, establish it For ever, and do As thou hast said.
Then said Ziba unto the king, According to all that my lord the king hath commanded his servant, so shall thy servant do. As For Mephibosheth, said the king, he shall eat at my table, As one of the king's sons.
Then said David, I will shew kindness unto Hanun the son of Nahash, As his father shewed kindness unto me. And David sent to comfort him by the hand of his servants For his father. And David's servants came into the land of the children of Ammon.
Then David said unto the messenger, Thus shalt thou say unto Joab, Let not this thing displease thee, For the sword devoureth one As well As another: make thy battle more strong against the city, and overthrow it: and encourage thou him.
And I, whither shall I cause my shame to go? and As For thee, thou shalt be As one of the fools in Israel. Now therefore, I pray thee, speak unto the king; For he will not withhold me from thee.
And Joab sent to Tekoah, and fetched thence a wise woman, and said unto her, I pray thee, feign thyself to be a mourner, and put on now mourning apparel, and anoint not thyself with oil, but be As a woman that had a long time mourned For the dead:
And the woman said, Wherefore then hast thou thought such a thing against the people of God? For the king doth speak this thing As one which is faulty, in that the king doth not fetch home again his banished.
For we must needs die, and are As water spilt on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again; neither doth God respect any person: yet doth he devise means, that his banished be not expelled from him.
Then thine handmaid said, The word of my lord the king shall now be comfortable: For As an angel of God, so is my lord the king to discern good and bad: therefore the LORD thy God will be with thee.
And the king said, Is not the hand of Joab with thee in all this? And the woman answered and said, As thy soul liveth, my lord the king, none can turn to the right hand or to the left from ought that my lord the king hath spoken: For thy servant Joab, he bade me, and he put all these words in the mouth of thine handmaid:
But in all Israel there was none to be so much praised As Absalom For his beauty: from the sole of his foot even to the crown of his head there was no blemish in him.
But if thou return to the city, and say unto Absalom, I will be thy servant, O king; As I have been thy father's servant hitherto, so will I now also be thy servant: then mayest thou For me defeat the counsel of Ahithophel.
And the king said unto Ziba, What meanest thou by these? And Ziba said, The asses be For the king's household to ride on; and the bread and summer fruit For the young men to eat; and the wine, that such As be faint in the wilderness may drink.
For, said Hushai, thou knowest thy father and his men, that they be mighty men, and they be chafed in their minds, As a bear robbed of her whelps in the field: and thy father is a man of war, and will not lodge with the people.
And he also that is valiant, whose heart is As the heart of a lion, shall utterly melt: For all Israel knoweth that thy father is a mighty man, and they which be with him are valiant men.
Therefore I counsel that all Israel be generally gathered unto thee, from Dan even to Beersheba, As the sand that is by the sea For multitude; and that thou go to battle in thine own person.
And the king was much moved, and went up to the chamber over the gate, and wept: and As he went, thus he said, O my son Absalom, my son, my son Absalom! would God I had died For thee, O Absalom, my son, my son!
For all his judgments were before me: and As For his statutes, I did not depart from them.
As For God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.
And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according As he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept For him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, As it is this day.
And the LORD hath performed his word that he spake, and I am risen up in the room of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, As the LORD promised, and have built an house For the name of the LORD God of Israel.
Hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee For: that all people of the earth may know thy name, to fear thee, As do thy people Israel; and that they may know that this house, which I have builded, is called by thy name.
Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel For ever, As I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.
And the king made silver to be in Jerusalem As stones, and cedars made he to be As the sycomore trees that are in the vale, For abundance.
For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, As was the heart of David his father.
And it shall be, if thou wilt hearken unto all that I command thee, and wilt walk in my ways, and do that is right in my sight, to keep my statutes and my commandments, As David my servant did; that I will be with thee, and build thee a sure house, As I built For David, and will give Israel unto thee.
But As For the children of Israel which dwelt in the cities of Judah, Rehoboam reigned over them.
And the king answered and said unto the man of God, Intreat now the face of the LORD thy God, and pray For me, that my hand may be restored me again. And the man of God besought the LORD, and the king's hand was restored him again, and became As it was before.
And it was so, when Ahijah heard the sound of her feet, As she came in at the door, that he said, Come in, thou wife of Jeroboam; why feignest thou thyself to be another? For I am sent to thee with heavy tidings.
For the LORD shall smite Israel, As a reed is shaken in the water, and he shall root up Israel out of this good land, which he gave to their fathers, and shall scatter them beyond the river, because they have made their groves, provoking the LORD to anger.
And it came to pass, As if it had been a light thing For him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took to wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Zidonians, and went and served Baal, and worshipped him.
And she said, As the LORD thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it For me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.
And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do As thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make For thee and For thy son.
And Benhadad said unto him, The cities, which my father took from thy father, I will restore; and thou shalt make streets For thee in Damascus, As my father made in Samaria. Then said Ahab, I will send thee away with this covenant. So he made a covenant with him, and sent him away.
And As the king passed by, he cried unto the king: and he said, Thy servant went out into the midst of the battle; and, behold, a man turned aside, and brought a man unto me, and said, Keep this man: if by any means he be missing, then shall thy life be For his life, or else thou shalt pay a talent of silver.
And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; For the LORD hath sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said unto him, As the LORD liveth, and As thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Bethel.

And Elijah said unto him, Tarry, I pray thee, here; For the LORD hath sent me to Jordan. And he said, As the LORD liveth, and As thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And they two went on.
So they poured out For the men to eat. And it came to pass, As they were eating of the pottage, that they cried out, and said, O thou man of God, there is death in the pot. And they could not eat thereof.
The leprosy therefore of Naaman shall cleave unto thee, and unto thy seed For ever. And he went out from his presence a leper As white As snow.

Wherefore they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses, and their asses, even the camp As it was, and fled For their life.
And it came to pass As the man of God had spoken to the king, saying, Two measures of barley For a shekel, and a measure of fine flour For a shekel, shall be to morrow about this time in the gate of Samaria:
And it came to pass, As he was telling the king how he had restored a dead body to life, that, behold, the woman, whose son he had restored to life, cried to the king For her house and For her land. And Gehazi said, My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son, whom Elisha restored to life.
And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, As did the house of Ahab: For the daughter of Ahab was his wife: and he did evil in the sight of the LORD.
Yet the LORD would not destroy Judah For David his servant's sake, As he promised him to give him alway a light, and to his children.
And he walked in the way of the house of Ahab, and did evil in the sight of the LORD, As did the house of Ahab: For he was the son in law of the house of Ahab.
And the king of Assyria found conspiracy in Hoshea: For he had sent messengers to So king of Egypt, and brought no present to the king of Assyria, As he had done year by year: therefore the king of Assyria shut him up, and bound him in prison.

And of the Gadites there separated themselves unto David into the hold to the wilderness men of might, and men of war fit For the battle, that could handle shield and buckler, whose faces were like the faces of lions, and were As swift As the roes upon the mountains;
Also I will ordain a place For my people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no more; neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, As at the beginning,
Therefore now, LORD, let the thing that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant and concerning his house be established For ever, and do As thou hast said.
And David said unto God, Is it not I that commanded the people to be numbered? even I it is that have sinned and done evil indeed; but As For these sheep, what have they done? let thine hand, I pray thee, O LORD my God, be on me, and on my father's house; but not on thy people, that they should be plagued.
And David said to Solomon, My son, As For me, it was in my mind to build an house unto the name of the LORD my God:
These were the sons of Levi after the house of their fathers; even the chief of the fathers, As they were counted by number of names by their polls, that did the work For the service of the house of the LORD, from the age of twenty years and upward.
And they cast lots, As well the small As the great, according to the house of their fathers, For every gate.
Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: As For me, I had in mine heart to build an house of rest For the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and For the footstool of our God, and had made ready For the building:
Moreover I will establish his kingdom For ever, if he be constant to do my commandments and my judgments, As at this day.
Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: For all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted As head above all. Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name. But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? For all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.
For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, As were all our fathers: our days on the earth are As a shadow, and there is none abiding.
I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As For me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.
And the king made silver and gold at Jerusalem As plenteous As stones, and cedar trees made he As the sycomore trees that are in the vale For abundance.
He made also ten lavers, and put five on the right hand, and five on the left, to wash in them: such things As they offered For the burnt offering they washed in them; but the sea was For the priests to wash in.
It came even to pass, As the trumpeters and singers were As one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; For his mercy endureth For ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD;
The LORD therefore hath performed his word that he hath spoken: For I am risen up in the room of David my father, and am set on the throne of Israel, As the LORD promised, and have built the house For the name of the LORD God of Israel.
Then hear thou from the heavens, even from thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee For; that all people of the earth may know thy name, and fear thee, As doth thy people Israel, and may know that this house which I have built is called by thy name.
And As For thee, if thou wilt walk before me, As David thy father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded thee, and shalt observe my statutes and my judgments;
As For all the people that were left of the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which were not of Israel,
And he appointed, according to the order of David his father, the courses of the priests to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, As the duty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate: For so had David the man of God commanded.
But As For the children of Israel that dwelt in the cities of Judah, Rehoboam reigned over them.
But As For us, the LORD is our God, and we have not forsaken him; and the priests, which minister unto the LORD, are the sons of Aaron, and the Levites wait upon their business:
If, when evil cometh upon us, As the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we stand before this house, and in thy presence, (For thy name is in this house,) and cry unto thee in our affliction, then thou wilt hear and help.
And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, As they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; For his mercy endureth For ever.

And they set the priests in their divisions, and the Levites in their courses, For the service of God, which is at Jerusalem; As it is written in the book of Moses.
Since the days of our fathers have we been in a great trespass unto this day; and For our iniquities have we, our kings, and our priests, been delivered into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, and to a spoil, and to confusion of face, As it is this day.
And after all that is come upon us For our evil deeds, and For our great trespass, seeing that thou our God hast punished us less than our iniquities deserve, and hast given us such deliverance As this;
O LORD God of Israel, thou art righteous: For we remain yet escaped, As it is this day: behold, we are before thee in our trespasses: For we cannot stand before thee because of this.
Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; As also the king's words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands For this good work.
Yet now our flesh is As the flesh of our brethren, our children As their children: and, lo, we bring into bondage our sons and our daughters to be servants, and some of our daughters are brought unto bondage already: neither is it in our power to redeem them; For other men have our lands and vineyards.
And shewedst signs and wonders upon Pharaoh, and on all his servants, and on all the people of his land: For thou knewest that they dealt proudly against them. So didst thou get thee a name, As it is this day.

And the maiden pleased him, and she obtained kindness of him; and he speedily gave her her things For purification, with such things As belonged to her, and seven maidens, which were meet to be given her, out of the king's house: and he preferred her and her maids unto the best place of the house of the women.

As For that night, let darkness seize upon it; let it not be joined unto the days of the year, let it not come into the number of the months.
As a servant earnestly desireth the shadow, and As an hireling looketh For the reward of his work:
For he is not a man, As I am, that I should answer him, and we should come together in judgment.
For it increaseth. Thou huntest me As a fierce lion: and again thou shewest thyself marvellous upon me.
As For me, is my complaint to man? and if it were so, why should not my spirit be troubled?

And they waited For me As For the rain; and they opened their mouth wide As For the latter rain.
(For from my youth he was brought up with me, As with a father, and I have guided her from my mother's womb;)

For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him As with a shield.
His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above out of his sight: As For all his enemies, he puffeth at them.
As For me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.
As For God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.

For such As be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.
For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: As an heavy burden they are too heavy For me.
My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: As For the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.
Hear my prayer, O LORD, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: For I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, As all my fathers were.
And As For me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face For ever.
{To the chief Musician, Maschil, For the sons of Korah.} As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
Yea, For thy sake are we killed all the day long; we are counted As sheep For the slaughter.
As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it For ever. Selah.
But As For me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.
His name shall endure For ever: his name shall be continued As long As the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.

As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even For ever.
As For such As turn aside unto their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.
As the dew of Hermon, and As the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: For there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life For evermore.
As For the head of those that compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.
For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, As those that have been long dead.
He hath not dealt so with any nation: and As For his judgments, they have not known them. Praise ye the LORD.
For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even As a father the son in whom he delighteth.
For the lips of a strange woman drop As an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil:
Till a dart strike through his liver; As a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is For his life.

Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? For riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away As an eagle toward heaven.
For As he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
As the cold of snow in the time of harvest, so is a faithful messenger to them that send him: For he refresheth the soul of his masters.
Hast thou found honey? eat so much As is sufficient For thee, lest thou be filled therewith, and vomit it.
Open thy mouth For the dumb in the cause of all such As are appointed to destruction. Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.
For there is no remembrance of the wise more than of the fool For ever; seeing that which now is in the days to come shall all be forgotten. And how dieth the wise man? As the fool.
For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: As the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: For all is vanity. All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.
And this also is a sore evil, that in all points As he came, so shall he go: and what profit hath he that hath laboured For the wind?
For who knoweth what is good For man in this life, all the days of his vain life which he spendeth As a shadow? For who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun?
For As the crackling of thorns under a pot, so is the laughter of the fool: this also is vanity.

They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, As the waters cover the sea.

Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed As the potter's clay: For shall the work say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?
For thus hath the LORD spoken unto me, Like As the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself For the noise of them: so shall the LORD of hosts come down to fight For mount Zion, and For the hill thereof.

It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God. Then shall the lame man leap As an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: For in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes. And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be For those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there: And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. show less

Like a crane or a swallow, so did I chatter: I did mourn As a dove: mine eyes fail with looking upward: O LORD, I am oppressed; undertake For me.
And who, As I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order For me, since I appointed the ancient people? and the things that are coming, and shall come, let them shew unto them.

For the LORD hath called thee As a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.

For As the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
Behold, ye fast For strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast As ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high.

Shall I not visit For these things? saith the LORD: and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation As this?
For among my people are found wicked men: they lay wait, As he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men.
Shall I not visit For these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation As this?
They shall lay hold on bow and spear; they are cruel, and have no mercy; their voice roareth like the sea; and they ride upon horses, set in array As men For war against thee, O daughter of Zion.

This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be As this girdle, which is good For nothing.

Hitherto is the end of the matter. As For me Daniel, my cogitations much troubled me, and my countenance changed in me: but I kept the matter in my heart.
And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought For the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me As the appearance of a man.
And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: For under the whole heaven hath not been done As hath been done upon Jerusalem.
For how can the servant of this my lord talk with this my lord? For As For me, straightway there remained no strength in me, neither is there breath left in me.
And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth For the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such As never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

Yet let no man strive, nor reprove another: For thy people are As they that strive with the priest.
For Israel slideth back As a backsliding heifer: now the LORD will feed them As a lamb in a large place.
For I will be unto Ephraim As a lion, and As a young lion to the house of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue him.
O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? For your goodness is As a morning cloud, and As the early dew it goeth away.
And As troops of robbers wait For a man, so the company of priests murder in the way by consent: For they commit lewdness.
For they have made ready their heart like an oven, whiles they lie in wait: their baker sleepeth all the night; in the morning it burneth As a flaming fire.
Rejoice not, O Israel, For joy, As other people: For thou hast gone a whoring from thy God, thou hast loved a reward upon every cornfloor.
As For Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird, from the birth, and from the womb, and from the conception.
Alas For the day! For the day of the LORD is at hand, and As a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.
And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: For in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, As the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.
Shall not the land tremble For this, and every one mourn that dwelleth therein? and it shall rise up wholly As a flood; and it shall be cast out and drowned, As by the flood of Egypt.
For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like As corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth.
For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen: As thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head.
For As ye have drunk upon my holy mountain, so shall all the heathen drink continually, yea, they shall drink, and they shall swallow down, and they shall be As though they had not been.
Wherefore they cried unto the LORD, and said, We beseech thee, O LORD, we beseech thee, let us not perish For this man's life, and lay not upon us innocent blood: For thou, O LORD, hast done As it pleased thee.
Make thee bald, and poll thee For thy delicate children; enlarge thy baldness As the eagle; For they are gone into captivity from thee.

Therefore shall Zion For your sake be plowed As a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house As the high places of the forest.
Now why dost thou cry out aloud? is there no king in thee? is thy counseller perished? For pangs have taken thee As a woman in travail.
But they know not the thoughts of the LORD, neither understand they his counsel: For he shall gather them As the sheaves into the floor.
Woe is me! For I am As when they have gathered the summer fruits, As the grapegleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat: my soul desired the firstripe fruit.

And I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth: but he that remaineth, even he, shall be For our God, and he shall be As a governor in Judah, and Ekron As a Jebusite.
As For thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.
When I have bent Judah For me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee As the sword of a mighty man.
And the LORD their God shall save them in that day As the flock of his people: For they shall be As the stones of a crown, lifted up As an ensign upon his land.
For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way As a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd.
Mine anger was kindled against the shepherds, and I punished the goats: For the LORD of hosts hath visited his flock the house of Judah, and hath made them As his goodly horse in the battle.
And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; For I have mercy upon them: and they shall be As though I had not cast them off: For I am the LORD their God, and will hear them.
I will hiss For them, and gather them; For I have redeemed them: and they shall increase As they have increased.
And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn For him, As one mourneth For his only son, and shall be in bitterness For him, As one that is in bitterness For his firstborn.

For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn As an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be As the hypocrites are: For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, As the heathen do: For they think that they shall be heard For their much speaking.
Moreover when ye fast, be not, As the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: For they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth As touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done For them of my Father which is in heaven.
Even As the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom For many.

For the kingdom of heaven is As a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. read more But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money. After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. show less

For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, As travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
We are bound to thank God always For you, brethren, As it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;
Finally, brethren, pray For us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even As it is with you:
But they shall proceed no further: For their folly shall be manifest unto all men, As theirs also was.
For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, As I had appointed thee:
Yet For love's sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one As Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.
For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch As he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.
And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, As a servant, For a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
For unto us was the gospel preached, As well As unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
For we which have believed do enter into rest, As he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, As God did from his.
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like As we are, yet without sin.
And by reason hereof he ought, As For the people, so also For himself, to offer For sins.
As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest For ever after the order of Melchisedec.
For when For the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such As have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
Who needeth not daily, As those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first For his own sins, and then For the people's: For this he did once, when he offered up himself.
Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, As Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: For, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.
Which was a figure For the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, As pertaining to the conscience;
By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: For he endured, As seeing him who is invisible.
If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you As with sons; For what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, As Esau, who For one morsel of meat sold his birthright.
(For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much As a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things As ye have: For he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: For they watch For your souls, As they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: For that is unprofitable For you.
Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh As it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together For the last days.
For all flesh is As grass, and all the glory of man As the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:
Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man For the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, As supreme;
Or unto governors, As unto them that are sent by him For the punishment of evildoers, and For the praise of them that do well.
As free, and not using your liberty For a cloke of maliciousness, but As the servants of God.
For ye were As sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
Forasmuch then As Christ hath suffered For us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: For he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
If any man speak, let him speak As the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it As of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion For ever and ever. Amen.
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake As they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue As they were from the beginning of the creation.
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; For we shall see him As he is.
For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even As thou walkest in the truth.
Even As Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth For an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such As are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb For ever and ever.
And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet For a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed As they were, should be fulfilled.
And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so As the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not For a third part of it, and the night likewise.
And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, For to devour her child As soon As it was born.
For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and As many As trade by sea, stood afar off,
And I heard As it were the voice of a great multitude, and As the voice of many waters, and As the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: For the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared As a bride adorned For her husband.
