And Elisha said unto The King of Israel, What have I to do with thee? get thee to The prophets of thy father, and to The prophets of thy mother. And The King of Israel said unto him, Nay: For The LORD hath called these three kings together, to deliver them into The hand of Moab.
And when The King of Moab saw that The battle was too sore For him, he took with him seven hundred men that drew swords, to break through even unto The King of Edom: but they could not.
And he said unto him, Say now unto her, Behold, thou hast been careful For us with all this care; what is to be done For thee? wouldest thou be spoken For to The King, or to The captain of The host? And she answered, I dwell among mine own people.
And The man of God sent unto The King of Israel, saying, Beware that thou pass not such a place; For thither The Syrians are come down.
Therefore The heart of The King of Syria was sore troubled For this thing; and he called his servants, and said unto them, Will ye not shew me which of us is For The King of Israel?
For The Lord had made The host of The Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even The noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, The King of Israel hath hired against us The kings of The Hittites, and The kings of The Egyptians, to come upon us.
And it came to pass as The man of God had spoken to The King, saying, Two measures of barley For a shekel, and a measure of fine flour For a shekel, shall be to morrow about this time in The gate of Samaria:

And Gehazi said, My lord, O King, this is The woman, and this is her son, whom Elisha restored to life.

And Ahaz took The silver and gold that was found in The house of The LORD, and in The treasures of The King's house, and sent it For a present to The King of Assyria.

For so it was, that The children of Israel had sinned against The LORD their God, which had brought them up out of The land of Egypt, from under The hand of Pharaoh King of Egypt, and had feared other gods, And walked in The statutes of The heathen, whom The LORD cast out from before The children of Israel, and of The kings of Israel, which they had made. And The children of Israel did secretly those things that were not right against The LORD their God, and they built them high places in all their cities, from The tower of The watchmen to The fenced city. And they set them up images and groves in every high hill, and under every green tree: read more And there they burnt incense in all The high places, as did The heathen whom The LORD carried away before them; and wrought wicked things to provoke The LORD to anger: For they served idols, whereof The LORD had said unto them, Ye shall not do this thing. Yet The LORD testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all The prophets, and by all The seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all The law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants The prophets. Notwithstanding they would not hear, but hardened their necks, like to The neck of their fathers, that did not believe in The LORD their God. And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after The heathen that were round about them, concerning whom The LORD had charged them, that they should not do like them. And they left all The commandments of The LORD their God, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made a grove, and worshipped all The host of heaven, and served Baal. And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through The fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in The sight of The LORD, to provoke him to anger. Therefore The LORD was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight: there was none left but The tribe of Judah only. Also Judah kept not The commandments of The LORD their God, but walked in The statutes of Israel which they made. And The LORD rejected all The seed of Israel, and afflicted them, and delivered them into The hand of spoilers, until he had cast them out of his sight. For he rent Israel from The house of David; and they made Jeroboam The son of Nebat King: and Jeroboam drave Israel from following The LORD, and made them sin a great sin. For The children of Israel walked in all The sins of Jeroboam which he did; they departed not from them; Until The LORD removed Israel out of his sight, as he had said by all his servants The prophets. So was Israel carried away out of their own land to Assyria unto this day. show less
For he rent Israel from The house of David; and they made Jeroboam The son of Nebat King: and Jeroboam drave Israel from following The LORD, and made them sin a great sin.
Thus saith The King, Let not Hezekiah deceive you: For he shall not be able to deliver you out of his hand:
Hearken not to Hezekiah: For thus saith The King of Assyria, Make an agreement with me by a present, and come out to me, and then eat ye every man of his own vine, and every one of his fig tree, and drink ye every one The waters of his cistern:
But The people held their peace, and answered him not a word: For The King's commandment was, saying, Answer him not.

At that time Berodachbaladan, The son of Baladan, King of Babylon, sent letters and a present unto Hezekiah: For he had heard that Hezekiah had been sick.
For he built up again The high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars For Baal, and made a grove, as did Ahab King of Israel; and worshipped all The host of heaven, and served them.
And The King commanded Hilkiah The high priest, and The priests of The second order, and The keepers of The door, to bring forth out of The temple of The LORD all The vessels that were made For Baal, and For The grove, and For all The host of heaven: and he burned them without Jerusalem in The fields of Kidron, and carried The ashes of them unto Bethel.
And The high places that were before Jerusalem, which were on The right hand of The mount of corruption, which Solomon The King of Israel had builded For Ashtoreth The abomination of The Zidonians, and For Chemosh The abomination of The Moabites, and For Milcom The abomination of The children of Ammon, did The King defile.
And The King of Egypt came not again any more out of his land: For The King of Babylon had taken from The river of Egypt unto The river Euphrates all that pertained to The King of Egypt.
And all The men of might, even seven thousand, and craftsmen and smiths a thousand, all that were strong and apt For war, even them The King of Babylon brought captive to Babylon.

And Ornan said unto David, Take it to thee, and let my lord The King do that which is good in his eyes: lo, I give thee The oxen also For burnt offerings, and The threshing instruments For wood, and The wheat For The meat offering; I give it all.

And Shemaiah The son of Nethaneel The scribe, one of The Levites, wrote them before The King, and The princes, and Zadok The priest, and Ahimelech The son of Abiathar, and before The chief of The fathers of The priests and Levites: one principal household being taken For Eleazar, and one taken For Ithamar.
All these were under The hands of their father For song in The house of The LORD, with cymbals, psalteries, and harps, For The service of The house of God, according to The King's order to Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman.
And his brethren, men of valour, were two thousand and seven hundred chief fathers, whom King David made rulers over The Reubenites, The Gadites, and The half tribe of Manasseh, For every matter pertaining to God, and affairs of The King.

Then David The King stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: As For me, I had in mine heart to build an house of rest For The ark of The covenant of The LORD, and For The footstool of our God, and had made ready For The building:
Howbeit The LORD God of Israel chose me before all The house of my father to be King over Israel For ever: For he hath chosen Judah to be The ruler; and of The house of Judah, The house of my father; and among The sons of my father he liked me to make me King over all Israel:
Furthermore David The King said unto all The congregation, Solomon my son, whom alone God hath chosen, is yet young and tender, and The work is great: For The palace is not For man, but For The LORD God. Now I have prepared with all my might For The house of my God The gold For things to be made of gold, and The silver For things of silver, and The brass For things of brass, The iron For things of iron, and wood For things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to be set, glistering stones, and of divers colours, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance. Moreover, because I have set my affection to The house of my God, I have of mine own proper good, of gold and silver, which I have given to The house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared For The holy house, Even three thousand talents of gold, of The gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay The walls of The houses withal: read more The gold For things of gold, and The silver For things of silver, and For all manner of work to be made by The hands of artificers. And who then is willing to consecrate his service this day unto The LORD? Then The chief of The fathers and princes of The tribes of Israel, and The captains of thousands and of hundreds, with The rulers of The King's work, offered willingly, And gave For The service of The house of God of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand drams, and of silver ten thousand talents, and of brass eighteen thousand talents, and one hundred thousand talents of iron. And they with whom precious stones were found gave them to The treasure of The house of The LORD, by The hand of Jehiel The Gershonite. Then The people rejoiced, For that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to The LORD: and David The King also rejoiced with great joy. Wherefore David blessed The LORD before all The congregation: and David said, Blessed be thou, LORD God of Israel our father, For ever and ever. Thine, O LORD, is The greatness, and The power, and The glory, and The victory, and The majesty: For all that is in The heaven and in The earth is thine; thine is The kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all. Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name. But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? For all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee. For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on The earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding. O LORD our God, all this store that we have prepared to build thee an house For thine holy name cometh of thine hand, and is all thine own. I know also, my God, that thou triest The heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As For me, in The uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee. O LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this For ever in The imagination of The thoughts of The heart of thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee: And give unto Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep thy commandments, thy testimonies, and thy statutes, and to do all these things, and to build The palace, For The which I have made provision. show less
Then The people rejoiced, For that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to The LORD: and David The King also rejoiced with great joy.
Now, O LORD God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: For thou hast made me King over a people like The dust of The earth in multitude.
And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor The life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge For thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee King:
And The King made silver and gold at Jerusalem as plenteous as stones, and cedar trees made he as The sycomore trees that are in The vale For abundance.

And Huram made The pots, and The shovels, and The basons. And Huram finished The work that he was to make For King Solomon For The house of God;

And The King called For Jehoiada The chief, and said unto him, Why hast thou not required of The Levites to bring in out of Judah and out of Jerusalem The collection, according to The commandment of Moses The servant of The LORD, and of The congregation of Israel, For The tabernacle of witness?

That they may offer sacrifices of sweet savours unto The God of heaven, and pray For The life of The King, and of his sons.
And whatsoever more shall be needful For The house of thy God, which thou shalt have occasion to bestow, bestow it out of The King's treasure house.
Whatsoever is commanded by The God of heaven, let it be diligently done For The house of The God of heaven: For why should there be wrath against The realm of The King and his sons?
For I was ashamed to require of The King a band of soldiers and horsemen to help us against The enemy in The way: because we had spoken unto The King, saying, The hand of our God is upon all them For good that seek him; but his power and his wrath is against all them that forsake him.
O Lord, I beseech thee, let now thine ear be attentive to The prayer of thy servant, and to The prayer of thy servants, who desire to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant him mercy in The sight of this man. For I was The King's cupbearer.
And said unto The King, Let The King live For ever: why should not my countenance be sad, when The city, The place of my fathers' sepulchres, lieth waste, and The gates thereof are consumed with fire?

Also Vashti The queen made a feast For The women in The royal house which belonged to King Ahasuerus.
To bring Vashti The queen before The King with The crown royal, to shew The people and The princes her beauty: For she was fair to look on.

For this deed of The queen shall come abroad unto all women, so that they shall despise their husbands in their eyes, when it shall be reported, The King Ahasuerus commanded Vashti The queen to be brought in before him, but she came not.
And when The King's decree which he shall make shall be published throughout all his empire, (For it is great,) all The wives shall give to their husbands honour, both to great and small.

And The maiden pleased him, and she obtained kindness of him; and he speedily gave her her things For purification, with such things as belonged to her, and seven maidens, which were meet to be given her, out of The King's house: and he preferred her and her maids unto The best place of The house of The women.
Now when every maid's turn was come to go in to King Ahasuerus, after that she had been twelve months, according to The manner of The women, (For so were The days of their purifications accomplished, to wit, six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with sweet odours, and with other things For The purifying of The women;)
Now when The turn of Esther, The daughter of Abihail The uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her For his daughter, was come to go in unto The King, she required nothing but what Hegai The King's chamberlain, The keeper of The women, appointed. And The letters were sent by posts into all The King's provinces, to destroy, to kill, and to cause to perish, all Jews, both young and old, little children and women, in one day, even upon The thirteenth day of The twelfth month, which is The month Adar, and to take The spoil of them For a prey.
And came even before The King's gate: For none might enter into The King's gate clothed with sackcloth.

And Mordecai told him of all that had happened unto him, and of The sum of The money that Haman had promised to pay to The King's treasuries For The Jews, to destroy them.
Also he gave him The copy of The writing of The decree that was given at Shushan to destroy them, to shew it unto Esther, and to declare it unto her, and to charge her that she should go in unto The King, to make supplication unto him, and to make request before him For her people.
Go, gather together all The Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye For me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto The King, which is not according to The law: and if I perish, I perish.
And Esther answered, If it seem good unto The King, let The King and Haman come this day unto The banquet that I have prepared For him.
If I have found favour in The sight of The King, and if it please The King to grant my petition, and to perform my request, let The King and Haman come to The banquet that I shall prepare For them, and I will do to morrow as The King hath said.
Then went Haman forth that day joyful and with a glad heart: but when Haman saw Mordecai in The King's gate, that he stood not up, nor moved For him, he was full of indignation against Mordecai.
And The King said, What honour and dignity hath been done to Mordecai For this? Then said The King's servants that ministered unto him, There is nothing done For him.
And The King said, Who is in The court? Now Haman was come into The outward court of The King's house, to speak unto The King to hang Mordecai on The gallows that he had prepared For him.
For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But if we had been sold For bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although The enemy could not countervail The King's damage.
And The King arising from The banquet of wine in his wrath went into The palace garden: and Haman stood up to make request For his life to Esther The queen; For he saw that there was evil determined against him by The King.
And Harbonah, one of The chamberlains, said before The King, Behold also, The gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made For Mordecai, who had spoken good For The King, standeth in The house of Haman. Then The King said, Hang him thereon.
So they hanged Haman on The gallows that he had prepared For Mordecai. Then was The King's wrath pacified.
On that day did The King Ahasuerus give The house of Haman The Jews' enemy unto Esther The queen. And Mordecai came before The King; For Esther had told what he was unto her.
Write ye also For The Jews, as it liketh you, in The King's name, and seal it with The King's ring: For The writing which is written in The King's name, and sealed with The King's ring, may no man reverse.
Wherein The King granted The Jews which were in every city to gather themselves together, and to stand For their life, to destroy, to slay, and to cause to perish, all The power of The people and province that would assault them, both little ones and women, and to take The spoil of them For a prey,
And in every province, and in every city, whithersoever The King's commandment and his decree came, The Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a good day. And many of The people of The land became Jews; For The fear of The Jews fell upon them.
The Jews gathered themselves together in their cities throughout all The provinces of The King Ahasuerus, to lay hand on such as sought their hurt: and no man could withstand them; For The fear of them fell upon all people.
For Mordecai was great in The King's house, and his fame went out throughout all The provinces: For this man Mordecai waxed greater and greater.
But The other Jews that were in The King's provinces gathered themselves together, and stood For their lives, and had rest from their enemies, and slew of their foes seventy and five thousand, but they laid not their hands on The prey,
For Mordecai The Jew was next unto King Ahasuerus, and great among The Jews, and accepted of The multitude of his brethren, seeking The wealth of his people, and speaking peace to all his seed.
For The King trusteth in The LORD, and through The mercy of The most High he shall not be moved.
{To The chief Musician upon Shoshannim, For The sons of Korah, Maschil, A Song of loves.} My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of The things which I have made touching The King: my tongue is The pen of a ready writer.
Beautiful For situation, The joy of The whole earth, is mount Zion, on The sides of The north, The city of The great King.
{A Psalm For Solomon.} Give The King thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto The King's son.
Yea, The sparrow hath found an house, and The swallow a nest For herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God.
He that loveth pureness of heart, For The grace of his lips The King shall be his friend.
And I turned myself to behold wisdom, and madness, and folly: For what can The man do that cometh after The King? even that which hath been already done.
Moreover The profit of The earth is For all: The King himself is served by The field.
Blessed art thou, O land, when thy King is The son of nobles, and thy princes eat in due season, For strength, and not For drunkenness!
Curse not The King, no not in thy thought; and curse not The rich in thy bedchamber: For a bird of The air shall carry The voice, and that which hath wings shall tell The matter.
Then said I, Woe is me! For I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in The midst of a people of unclean lips: For mine eyes have seen The King, The LORD of hosts.
Let us go up against Judah, and vex it, and let us make a breach therein For us, and set a King in The midst of it, even The son of Tabeal:
For before The child shall have knowledge to cry, My father, and my mother, The riches of Damascus and The spoil of Samaria shall be taken away before The King of Assyria.
And The inhabitant of this isle shall say in that day, Behold, such is our expectation, whither we flee For help to be delivered from The King of Assyria: and how shall we escape?
For Tophet is ordained of old; yea, For The King it is prepared; he hath made it deep and large: The pile thereof is fire and much wood; The breath of The LORD, like a stream of brimstone, doth kindle it.
For The LORD is our judge, The LORD is our lawgiver, The LORD is our King; he will save us.
Thus saith The King, Let not Hezekiah deceive you: For he shall not be able to deliver you.
Hearken not to Hezekiah: For thus saith The King of Assyria, Make an agreement with me by a present, and come out to me: and eat ye every one of his vine, and every one of his fig tree, and drink ye every one The waters of his own cistern;
But they held their peace, and answered him not a word: For The King's commandment was, saying, Answer him not.
It may be The LORD thy God will hear The words of Rabshakeh, whom The King of Assyria his master hath sent to reproach The living God, and will reprove The words which The LORD thy God hath heard: wherefore lift up thy prayer For The remnant that is left.
So Rabshakeh returned, and found The King of Assyria warring against Libnah: For he had heard that he was departed from Lachish.
At that time Merodachbaladan, The son of Baladan, King of Babylon, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah: For he had heard that he had been sick, and was recovered.
Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? For to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all The wise men of The nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee.
Say unto The King and to The queen, Humble yourselves, sit down: For your principalities shall come down, even The crown of your glory.
And I will cause them to be removed into all kingdoms of The earth, because of Manasseh The son of Hezekiah King of Judah, For that which he did in Jerusalem.
For thus saith The LORD, Behold, I will make thee a terror to thyself, and to all thy friends: and they shall fall by The sword of their enemies, and thine eyes shall behold it: and I will give all Judah into The hand of The King of Babylon, and he shall carry them captive into Babylon, and shall slay them with The sword.
Inquire, I pray thee, of The LORD For us; For Nebuchadrezzar King of Babylon maketh war against us; if so be that The LORD will deal with us according to all his wondrous works, that he may go up from us.
For I have set my face against this city For evil, and not For good, saith The LORD: it shall be given into The hand of The King of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire.
For thus saith The LORD unto The King's house of Judah; Thou art Gilead unto me, and The head of Lebanon: yet surely I will make thee a wilderness, and cities which are not inhabited.
For thus saith The LORD touching Shallum The son of Josiah King of Judah, which reigned instead of Josiah his father, which went forth out of this place; He shall not return thither any more:
Therefore thus saith The LORD concerning Jehoiakim The son of Josiah King of Judah; They shall not lament For him, saying, Ah my brother! or, Ah sister! they shall not lament For him, saying, Ah lord! or, Ah his glory!
And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish The King of Babylon, and that nation, saith The LORD, For their iniquity, and The land of The Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual desolations.
Therefore hearken not unto The words of The prophets that speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve The King of Babylon: For they prophesy a lie unto you. For I have not sent them, saith The LORD, yet they prophesy a lie in my name; that I might drive you out, and that ye might perish, ye, and The prophets that prophesy unto you.
And I will bring again to this place Jeconiah The son of Jehoiakim King of Judah, with all The captives of Judah, that went into Babylon, saith The LORD: For I will break The yoke of The King of Babylon.
For thus saith The LORD of hosts, The God of Israel; I have put a yoke of iron upon The neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar King of Babylon; and they shall serve him: and I have given him The beasts of The field also.
For then The King of Babylon's army besieged Jerusalem: and Jeremiah The prophet was shut up in The court of The prison, which was in The King of Judah's house.
For Zedekiah King of Judah had shut him up, saying, Wherefore dost thou prophesy, and say, Thus saith The LORD, Behold, I will give this city into The hand of The King of Babylon, and he shall take it;
When The King of Babylon's army fought against Jerusalem, and against all The cities of Judah that were left, against Lachish, and against Azekah: For these defenced cities remained of The cities of Judah.
But it came to pass, when Nebuchadrezzar King of Babylon came up into The land, that we said, Come, and let us go to Jerusalem For fear of The army of The Chaldeans, and For fear of The army of The Syrians: so we dwell at Jerusalem.
And Zedekiah The King sent Jehucal The son of Shelemiah and Zephaniah The son of Maaseiah The priest to The prophet Jeremiah, saying, Pray now unto The LORD our God For us.
Then Zedekiah The King sent, and took him out: and The King asked him secretly in his house, and said, Is there any word from The LORD? And Jeremiah said, There is: For, said he, thou shalt be delivered into The hand of The King of Babylon.
Therefore The princes said unto The King, We beseech thee, let this man be put to death: For thus he weakeneth The hands of The men of war that remain in this city, and The hands of all The people, in speaking such words unto them: For this man seeketh not The welfare of this people, but The hurt.
Then Zedekiah The King said, Behold, he is in your hand: For The King is not he that can do any thing against you.
My lord The King, these men have done evil in all that they have done to Jeremiah The prophet, whom they have cast into The dungeon; and he is like to die For hunger in The place where he is: For there is no more bread in The city.
Then came all The princes unto Jeremiah, and asked him: and he told them according to all these words that The King had commanded. So they left off speaking with him; For The matter was not perceived.
Now The pit wherein Ishmael had cast all The dead bodies of The men, whom he had slain because of Gedaliah, was it which Asa The King had made For fear of Baasha King of Israel: and Ishmael The son of Nethaniah filled it with them that were slain.
Because of The Chaldeans: For they were afraid of them, because Ishmael The son of Nethaniah had slain Gedaliah The son of Ahikam, whom The King of Babylon made governor in The land.
Be not afraid of The King of Babylon, of whom ye are afraid; be not afraid of him, saith The LORD: For I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand.
Howl, O Heshbon, For Ai is spoiled: cry, ye daughters of Rabbah, gird you with sackcloth; lament, and run to and fro by The hedges; For their King shall go into captivity, and his priests and his princes together.
Flee, get you far off, dwell deep, O ye inhabitants of Hazor, saith The LORD; For Nebuchadrezzar King of Babylon hath taken counsel against you, and hath conceived a purpose against you.
For through The anger of The LORD it came to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, till he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against The King of Babylon.
And For his diet, there was a continual diet given him of The King of Babylon, every day a portion until The day of his death, all The days of his life.
For The King of Babylon stood at The parting of The way, at The head of The two ways, to use divination: he made his arrows bright, he consulted with images, he looked in The liver.
For thus saith The Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring upon Tyrus Nebuchadrezzar King of Babylon, a King of kings, from The north, with horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen, and companies, and much people.
Speak, and say, Thus saith The Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh King of Egypt, The great dragon that lieth in The midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it For myself.
Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar King of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyrus: every head was made bald, and every shoulder was peeled: yet had he no wages, nor his army, For Tyrus, For The service that he had served against it:
Therefore thus saith The Lord GOD; Behold, I will give The land of Egypt unto Nebuchadrezzar King of Babylon; and he shall take her multitude, and take her spoil, and take her prey; and it shall be The wages For his army.
Son of man, take up a lamentation For Pharaoh King of Egypt, and say unto him, Thou art like a young lion of The nations, and thou art as a whale in The seas: and thou camest forth with thy rivers, and troubledst The waters with thy feet, and fouledst their rivers.
And The prince of The eunuchs said unto Daniel, I fear my lord The King, who hath appointed your meat and your drink: For why should he see your faces worse liking than The children which are of your sort? then shall ye make me endanger my head to The King.
Then The King commanded to call The magicians, and The astrologers, and The sorcerers, and The Chaldeans, For to shew The King his dreams. So they came and stood before The King.
Then spake The Chaldeans to The King in Syriack, O King, live For ever: tell thy servants The dream, and we will shew The interpretation.
For this cause The King was angry and very furious, and commanded to destroy all The wise men of Babylon.
I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee: For thou hast now made known unto us The King's matter.
But as For me, this secret is not revealed to me For any wisdom that I have more than any living, but For their sakes that shall make known The interpretation to The King, and that thou mightest know The thoughts of thy heart.
Thou, O King, art a King of kings: For The God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory.
This dream I King Nebuchadnezzar have seen. Now thou, O Belteshazzar, declare The interpretation thereof, forasmuch as all The wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known unto me The interpretation: but thou art able; For The spirit of The holy gods is in thee.
Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was astonied For one hour, and his thoughts troubled him. The King spake, and said, Belteshazzar, let not The dream, or The interpretation thereof, trouble thee. Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, The dream be to them that hate thee, and The interpretation thereof to thine enemies.
It is thou, O King, that art grown and become strong: For thy greatness is grown, and reacheth unto heaven, and thy dominion to The end of The earth.
The King spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built For The house of The kingdom by The might of my power, and For The honour of my majesty?
Now The queen, by reason of The words of The King and his lords, came into The banquet house: and The queen spake and said, O King, live For ever: let not thy thoughts trouble thee, nor let thy countenance be changed:
Then these presidents and princes assembled together to The King, and said thus unto him, King Darius, live For ever.
All The presidents of The kingdom, The governors, and The princes, The counsellers, and The captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man For thirty days, save of thee, O King, he shall be cast into The den of lions.
Then was The King exceeding glad For him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of The den. So Daniel was taken up out of The den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.
And in The end of years they shall join themselves together; For The King's daughter of The south shall come to The King of The north to make an agreement: but she shall not retain The power of The arm; neither shall he stand, nor his arm: but she shall be given up, and they that brought her, and he that begat her, and he that strengthened her in these times.
For The King of The north shall return, and shall set forth a multitude greater than The former, and shall certainly come after certain years with a great army and with much riches.
And he shall stir up his power and his courage against The King of The south with a great army; and The King of The south shall be stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not stand: For they shall forecast devices against him.
And The King shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against The God of gods, and shall prosper till The indignation be accomplished: For that that is determined shall be done.
For The children of Israel shall abide many days without a King, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim:
Hear ye this, O priests; and hearken, ye house of Israel; and give ye ear, O house of The King; For judgment is toward you, because ye have been a snare on Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor.
Yea, though they have hired among The nations, now will I gather them, and they shall sorrow a little For The burden of The King of princes.
For now they shall say, We have no King, because we feared not The LORD; what then should a King do to us?
Thus saith The LORD; For three transgressions of Moab, and For four, I will not turn away The punishment thereof; because he burned The bones of The King of Edom into lime:
But prophesy not again any more at Bethel: For it is The King's chapel, and it is The King's court.
For word came unto The King of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.
Ashkelon shall see it, and fear; Gaza also shall see it, and be very sorrowful, and Ekron; For her expectation shall be ashamed; and The King shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.
For I will no more pity The inhabitants of The land, saith The LORD: but, lo, I will deliver The men every one into his neighbour's hand, and into The hand of his King: and they shall smite The land, and out of their hand I will not deliver them.
And ye shall flee to The valley of The mountains; For The valley of The mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before The earthquake in The days of Uzziah King of Judah: and The LORD my God shall come, and all The saints with thee.
But cursed be The deceiver, which hath in his flock a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth unto The Lord a corrupt thing: For I am a great King, saith The LORD of hosts, and my name is dreadful among The heathen.
Saying, Where is he that is born King of The Jews? For we have seen his star in The east, and are come to worship him.
Nor by The earth; For it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; For it is The city of The great King.
And The King was sorry: nevertheless For The oath's sake, and them which sat with him at meat, he commanded it to be given her.
Then shall The King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit The kingdom prepared For you from The foundation of The world:
And King Herod heard of him; (For his name was spread abroad:) and he said, That John The Baptist was risen from The dead, and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.
And The King was exceeding sorry; yet For his oath's sake, and For their sakes which sat with him, he would not reject her.
Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a King then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a King. To this end was I born, and For this cause came I into The world, that I should bear witness unto The truth. Every one that is of The truth heareth my voice.
I think myself happy, King Agrippa, because I shall answer For myself this day before thee touching all The things whereof I am accused of The Jews:
Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, King Agrippa, I am accused of The Jews.
For The King knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely: For I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; For this thing was not done in a corner.
Now unto The King eternal, immortal, invisible, The only wise God, be honour and glory For ever and ever. Amen.
For this Melchisedec, King of Salem, priest of The most high God, who met Abraham returning from The slaughter of The kings, and blessed him;
By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing The wrath of The King: For he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man For The Lord's sake: whether it be to The King, as supreme;
These shall make war with The Lamb, and The Lamb shall overcome them: For he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
