And they shall hearken to thy voice: and thou shalt come, thou and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto him, The LORD God of the Hebrews hath met with us: and now let us go, we beseech thee, three days' journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the LORD Our God.

Since the days of Our fathers have we been in a great trespass unto this day; and for Our iniquities have we, Our kings, and Our priests, been delivered into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, to captivity, and to a spoil, and to confusion of face, as it is this day.
{To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, Maschil.} We have heard with Our ears, O God, Our fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old.
For all Our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend Our years as a tale that is told.
The days of Our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
