For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. |

And they said, The God of the Hebrews hath met with us: let us go, we pray thee, Three days' journey into the desert, and sacrifice unto the LORD our God; lest he fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword.
We will go Three days' journey into the wilderness, and sacrifice to the LORD our God, as he shall command us.
And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt Three days:
They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for Three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.
So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went Three days in the wilderness, and found no water.
And they departed from the mount of the LORD Three days' journey: and the ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them in the Three days' journey, to search out a resting place for them.
And they departed from before Pihahiroth, and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness, and went Three days' journey in the wilderness of Etham, and pitched in Marah.
Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals; for within Three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the LORD your God giveth you to possess it.
And she said unto them, Get you to the mountain, lest the pursuers meet you; and hide yourselves there Three days, until the pursuers be returned: and afterward may ye go your way.

And David answered the priest, and said unto him, Of a truth women have been kept from us about these Three days, since I came out, and the vessels of the young men are holy, and the bread is in a manner common, yea, though it were sanctified this day in the vessel.
And they gave him a piece of a cake of figs, and two clusters of raisins: and when he had eaten, his spirit came again to him: for he had eaten no bread, nor drunk any water, Three days and three nights.
And David said unto him, To whom belongest thou? and whence art thou? And he said, I am a young man of Egypt, servant to an Amalekite; and my master left me, because Three days agone I fell sick.
Then said the king to Amasa, Assemble me the men of Judah within Three days, and be thou here present.
So Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thy land? or wilt thou flee three months before thine enemies, while they pursue thee? or that there be Three days' pestilence in thy land? now advise, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me.
And he said unto them, Depart yet for Three days, then come again to me. And the people departed.
And when they urged him till he was ashamed, he said, Send. They sent therefore fifty men; and they sought Three days, but found him not.
And there they were with David Three days, eating and drinking: for their brethren had prepared for them.
Either three years' famine; or three months to be destroyed before thy foes, while that the sword of thine enemies overtaketh thee; or else Three days the sword of the LORD, even the pestilence, in the land, and the angel of the LORD destroying throughout all the coasts of Israel. Now therefore advise thyself what word I shall bring again to him that sent me.
And he said unto them, Come again unto me after Three days. And the people departed.
And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away the spoil of them, they found among them in abundance both riches with the dead bodies, and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were Three days in gathering of the spoil, it was so much.
And I gathered them together to the river that runneth to Ahava; and there abode we in tents Three days: and I viewed the people, and the priests, and found there none of the sons of Levi.
And that whosoever would not come within Three days, according to the counsel of the princes and the elders, all his substance should be forfeited, and himself separated from the congregation of those that had been carried away.
Then all the men of Judah and Benjamin gathered themselves together unto Jerusalem within Three days. It was the ninth month, on the twentieth day of the month; and all the people sat in the street of the house of God, trembling because of this matter, and for the great rain.
Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink Three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.

Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After Three days I will rise again.
I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me Three days, and have nothing to eat:
And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after Three days rise again. And he spake that saying openly. And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him. But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men. And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. read more For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? We heard him say, I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within Three days I will build another made without hands.
And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ah, thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in Three days,

Now when Festus was come into the province, after Three days he ascended from Caesarea to Jerusalem.
In the same quarters were possessions of the chief man of the island, whose name was Publius; who received us, and lodged us Three days courteously.
