Furthermore David the king said unto all the congregation, Solomon my son, whom alone god hath chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great: for the palace is not for man, but for the LORD god. Moreover, because I have set my affection to the house of my god, I have of mine own proper good, of gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my god, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house, Even three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses withal: read more The gold for things of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and for all manner of work to be made by the hands of artificers. Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. Now therefore, our god, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name. but who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee. O LORD our god, all this store that we have prepared to build thee an house for thine holy name cometh of thine hand, and is all thine own. I know also, my god, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee. O LORD god of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee: And give unto Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep thy commandments, thy testimonies, and thy statutes, and to do all these things, and to build the palace, for the which I have made provision. show less

And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one god; and there is none other but he:
And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of god.
How he went into the house of god, and did take and eat the shewbread, and gave also to them that were with him; which it is not lawful to eat but for the priests alone?
For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is least in the kingdom of god is greater than he.
but the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of god against themselves, being not baptized of him.
And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of god: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.
but I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of god.
And they were all amazed at the mighty power of god. but while they wondered every one at all things which Jesus did, he said unto his disciples,
Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of god.
but if I with the finger of god cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of god is come upon you.
but woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of god: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
but god said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but god knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of god.
And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not god, nor regard man;
And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, god be merciful to me a sinner.
but Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of god.
And they asked him, saying, Master, we know that thou sayest and teachest rightly, neither acceptest thou the person of any, but teachest the way of god truly:
For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of god: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.
but the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear god, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of god.
For god so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For god sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of god.
but he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in god.
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of god abideth on him.
Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath god the Father sealed.
but now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of god: this did not Abraham.
Jesus said unto them, If god were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from god; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of god should be made manifest in him.
Now we know that god heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of god, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself god.
When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of god, that the Son of god might be glorified thereby.
And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one the children of god that were scattered abroad.
Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my god, and your god.
but these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of god; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
but those things, which god before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.
Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto god.
but if it be of god, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against god.
but when the time of the promise drew nigh, which god had sworn to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt,
For he supposed his brethren would have understood how that god by his hand would deliver them: but they understood not.
And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but god hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.
Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of god, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.
but the voice answered me again from heaven, What god hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of god should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.
but when the Jews of Thessalonica had knowledge that the word of god was preached of Paul at Berea, they came thither also, and stirred up the people.
And the times of this ignorance god winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
but bade them farewell, saying, I must by all means keep this feast that cometh in Jerusalem: but I will return again unto you, if god will. And he sailed from Ephesus.
but none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of god.
but this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the god of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:
but shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to god, and do works meet for repentance.
And Paul said, I would to god, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.
Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.
Because that, when they knew god, they glorified him not as god, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
Who knowing the judgment of god, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
but we are sure that the judgment of god is according to truth against them which commit such things.
but after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of god;
(For not the hearers of the law are just before god, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
but he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of god.
god forbid: yea, let god be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
but if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of god, what shall we say? Is god unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)
but now the righteousness of god without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
He staggered not at the promise of god through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to god;
but god commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
And not only so, but we also joy in god through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
but not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of god, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto god through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto god, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto god.
but god be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
but now being made free from sin, and become servants to god, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of god is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
What shall we say then? Is the law sin? god forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
Was then that which is good made death unto me? god forbid. but sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
I thank god through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of god; but with the flesh the law of sin.
but ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of god dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of god: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.
(For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of god according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)
So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of god that sheweth mercy.
Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against god? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
but what saith the answer of god unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.
I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? god forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.
Behold therefore the goodness and severity of god: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of god.
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as god hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of god: the powers that be are ordained of god.
For he is the minister of god to thee for good. but if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of god, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.
For the kingdom of god is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
For meat destroy not the work of god. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence. It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak. Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before god. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.
but now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting god, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of god.
but unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of god, and the wisdom of god.
but god hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and god hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
but of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of god is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
but we speak the wisdom of god in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which god ordained before the world unto our glory:
but as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which god hath prepared for them that love him.
but god hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of god.
For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of god knoweth no man, but the Spirit of god.
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of god; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of god.
but the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of god: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but god that giveth the increase.
According to the grace of god which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. but let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
but them that are without god judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.
And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our god.
Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but god shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.
For I would that all men were even as I myself. but every man hath his proper gift of god, one after this manner, and another after that.
but if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but god hath called us to peace.
but as god hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches.
Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of god.
but she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and I think also that I have the Spirit of god.
As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other god but one.
but to us there is but one god, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
but meat commendeth us not to god: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.
To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to god, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.
but with many of them god was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but god is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
but I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to god: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.
but I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is god.
For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of god: but the woman is the glory of the man.
For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of god.
but if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of god.
Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of god calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same god which worketh all in all.
but now hath god set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
For our comely parts have no need: but god hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:
For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto god: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.
but if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to god.
For god is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
but by the grace of god I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of god which was with me.
but god giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body. All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.
but thanks be to god, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
but we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in god which raiseth the dead:
For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of god, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.
For the Son of god, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea.
For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of god: but as of sincerity, but as of god, in the sight of god speak we in Christ.
Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living god; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of god;
but have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of god deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of god.
but we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of god, and not of us.
Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto god; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.
but in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of god, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses,
Wherefore, though I wrote unto you, I did it not for his cause that had done the wrong, nor for his cause that suffered wrong, but that our care for you in the sight of god might appear unto you.
And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of god.
but thanks be to god, which put the same earnest care into the heart of Titus for you.
For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto god;
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through god to the pulling down of strong holds;)
but we will not boast of things without our measure, but according to the measure of the rule which god hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you.
Again, think ye that we excuse ourselves unto you? we speak before god in Christ: but we do all things, dearly beloved, for your edifying.
For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of god. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of god toward you.
Now I pray to god that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates.
Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and god the Father, who raised him from the dead;) And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia: Grace be to you and peace from god the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of god and our Father: read more To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. but though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or god? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. but I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of god, and wasted it: And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers. but when it pleased god, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus. Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days. but other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother. Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before god, I lie not. Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia; show less
but when it pleased god, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,
but of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me: god accepteth no man's person:) for they who seemed to be somewhat in conference added nothing to me:
but if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? god forbid.
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of god, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
but that no man is justified by the law in the sight of god, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but god gave it to Abraham by promise.
but when the fulness of the time was come, god sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of god through Christ.
but now, after that ye have known god, or rather are known of god, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?
And my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected; but received me as an angel of god, even as Christ Jesus.
but god forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of god;
Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of god from the heart;
And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of god.
For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but god had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.
And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of god by faith:
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto god. And the peace of god, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
but I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to god.
but my god shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing god:
For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to god-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing.
but even after that we had suffered before, and were shamefully entreated, as ye know, at Philippi, we were bold in our god to speak unto you the gospel of god with much contention.
but as we were allowed of god to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but god, which trieth our hearts.
So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of god only, but also our own souls, because ye were dear unto us.
For this cause also thank we god without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of god which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of god, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.
He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but god, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.
but as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of god to love one another.
For god hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
but we are bound to give thanks alway to god for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because god hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
but if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of god, which is the church of the living god, the pillar and ground of the truth.
but if any widow have children or nephews, let them learn first to shew piety at home, and to requite their parents: for that is good and acceptable before god.
but thou, O man of god, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living god, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
For god hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of god;
Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of god is not bound.
At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray god that it may not be laid to their charge. Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
but hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of god our Saviour;
They profess that they know god; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of god our Saviour in all things.
but unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O god, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
but we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of god should taste death for every man.
Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of god; abideth a priest continually.
For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto god.
For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of god for us:
but this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of god;
but without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to god must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
but now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore god is not ashamed to be called their god: for he hath prepared for them a city.
but ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living god, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers god will judge.
but to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices god is well pleased.
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of god, which liveth and abideth for ever.
To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of god, and precious,
Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of god: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of god.
For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with god.
but let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of god of great price.
but sanctify the Lord god in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to god, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward god,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of god. For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries: Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:
For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to god in the spirit.
If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of god resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify god on this behalf.
Feed the flock of god which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;
but the god of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of god spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
For if god spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
but whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of god perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of god abideth for ever.
Beloved, now are we the sons of god, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
but whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of god in him?
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of god: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
Herein is love, not that we loved god, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
We know that whosoever is born of god sinneth not; but he that is begotten of god keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. And we know that we are of god, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of god: but he that doeth evil hath not seen god.
And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of god in their foreheads.
but in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of god should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of god and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of god and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
