The angel who appeared in the bush that burned with fire was the angel of God's presence, who saved the Israelites and bare them and carried them all the days of old. See Hebrews 3:1-6. Who could this be save our Lord Himself? Only He could speak of Himself as I am. Remember the use our Lord made of that present tense, as carrying with it evidence that Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob were all of them living, though centuries had passed since their bodies had been deposited in Machpelah's cave. See Luke 20:38. It is very helpful to note that reference to the hand of the angel in Acts 7:35; Acts 7:38. It reminds us of Acts 11:21. Would that, in our service for God, we were always conscious of the co-operating hand of the Savior!
The prophet referred to in Acts 7:37 is, of course, our Lord, and the parallel between Him and Moses is very apparent during our Lord's human ministry-for meekness, for reference in all things to the sending of God, for the work they did, as negotiating the Law from Sinai and the Mount of Beatitudes. But the difference in their posthumous ministry is emphasized in Isaiah 63:9. [source]

Gave them up [παρεδωκεν]
First aorist active indicative of παραδιδωμι — paradidōmi This same form occurs three times like clods on a coffin in a grave in Romans 1:24, Romans 1:26, Romans 1:28 where Paul speaks of God giving the heathen up to their lusts. [source]
To serve the host of heaven [λατρευειν τηι στρατιαι του ουρανου]
The verb λατρευω — latreuō is used of the worship of God (Matthew 4:10) as well as of idols as here (from λατρον — latron hire, λατρις — latris hireling, then to serve). But the worship of the host of heaven (Deuteronomy 17:3; 2 Kings 17:16; 2 Kings 21:3; 2 Chronicles 33:3, 2 Chronicles 33:5; Jeremiah 8:2; Jeremiah 19:13) is Sabaism or worship of the host That is the twelve minor prophets which the Jews counted as one book (cf. The host of heaven []
Star-worship, or Sabaeanism, the remnant of the ancient heathenism of Western Asia, which consisted in the worship of the stars, and spread into Syria, though the Chaldaean religion was far from being the simple worship of the host of heaven; the heavenly bodies being regarded as real persons, and not mere metaphorical representations of astronomical phenomena.
