Jeremiah 52:10-11

[10] And the king  of Babylon  slew  the sons  of Zedekiah  before his eyes:  he slew  also all the princes  of Judah  in Riblah.  [11] Then he put out  the eyes  of Zedekiah;  and the king  of Babylon  bound  him in chains,  and carried  him to Babylon,  and put  him in prison  till the day  of his death. 

What does Jeremiah 52:10-11 Mean?

Contextual Meaning

Nebuchadnezzar executed Zedekiah"s sons as he watched, as well as Zedekiah"s officials who were present (cf. Jeremiah 39:6; Jeremiah 41:1). He then blinded Zedekiah, bound him with bronze shackles, and brought him to Babylon where Zedekiah spent the rest of his life in prison.
