Philemon 1:4-7

[4] I thank  God,  making  mention  always  in  prayers,  [5] Hearing  love  and  faith,  which  thou hast  toward  the Lord  Jesus,  and  toward  all  saints;  [6] That  the communication  faith  may become  effectual  by  the acknowledging  of every  good thing  which  is in  in  Christ  [7] For  we have  great  and  consolation  in  love,  because  the bowels  of the saints  are refreshed  by  brother. 

What does Philemon 1:4-7 Mean?

Contextual Meaning

Paul commended Philemon for the fruit of the Spirit that Philemon permitted the Spirit to manifest in his life. He also prayed that it would continue to abound to encourage Philemon to respond to the request that follows in a manner consistent with God"s will.
