For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

Nevertheless they shall be his servants; that they may know my service, and the service of the kingdoms of the countries.

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
