Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said.

And began to salute him, Hail, King of the Jews!

And said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they smote him with their hands.

Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

And as soon as he was come, he goeth straightway to him, and saith, Master, master; and kissed him. And they laid their hands on him, and took him.

Greet all the brethren with an holy kiss.

Then Samuel took a vial of oil, and poured it upon his head, and kissed him, and said, Is it not because the LORD hath anointed thee to be captain over his inheritance?
