Psalms 71:19-21

Psalms 71:19-21

[19] Thy righteousness  also, O God,  is very high,  who hast done  great things:  O God,  [20] Thou, which hast shewed  me great  and sore  troubles,  shalt quicken  me again,  and shalt bring me up  again  from the depths  of the earth.  [21] Thou shalt increase  my greatness,  and comfort  me on every side.

What does Psalms 71:19-21 Mean?

Contextual Meaning

The great things of which the writer testified included God"s salvation out of many personal troubles. The psalmist had been down before, but God had always lifted him up. [1] He prayed that this would be his experience again. His greatness, or honor, came from trusting in God and having that trust rewarded with deliverance.
