And the people said unto Samuel, Who is he that said, Shall Saul reign over us? bring the men, that we may put them to death. And Saul was afraid of David, because the LORD was with him, and was departed from Saul.

And when all the people came to cause David to eat meat while it was yet day, David sware, saying, So do God to me, and more also, if I taste bread, or ought else, till the sun be down.

But my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away before thee.

And let it be, when these signs are come unto thee, that thou do as occasion serve thee; for God is with thee.

Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time.

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
