Night And Day

And God called the light Day, And the darkness he called Night. And the evening And the morning were the first Day.

And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the Day from the Night; And let them be for signs, And for seasons, And for days, And years:

And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the Day, And the lesser light to rule the Night: he made the stars also.

And to rule over the Day And over the Night, And to divide the light from the darkness: And God saw that it was good.

While the earth remaineth, seedtime And harvest, And cold And heat, And summer And winter, And Day And Night shall not cease.

Thus I was; in the Day the drought consumed me, And the frost by Night; And my sleep departed from mine eyes.

And Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt, And the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that Day, And all that Night; And when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.

And the LORD went before them by Day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; And by Night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by Day And Night:

For the cloud of the LORD was upon the tabernacle by Day, And fire was on it by Night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.

This is the offering of Aaron And of his sons, which they shall offer unto the LORD in the Day when he is anointed; the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a meat offering perpetual, half of it in the morning, And half thereof at Night.

Therefore shall ye abide at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation Day And Night seven days, And keep the charge of the LORD, that ye die not: for so I am commanded.

So it was alway: the cloud covered it by Day, And the appearance of fire by Night.

And so it was, when the cloud abode from even unto the morning, And that the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they journeyed: whether it was by Day or by Night that the cloud was taken up, they journeyed.

And the people stood up all that Day, And all that Night, And all the next Day, And they gathered the quails: he that gathered least gathered ten homers: And they spread them all abroad for themselves round about the camp.

And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land: for they have heard that thou LORD art among this people, that thou LORD art seen face to face, And that thy cloud standeth over them, And that thou goest before them, by Day time in a pillar of a cloud, And in a pillar of fire by Night.

Who went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents in, in fire by Night, to shew you by what way ye should go, And in a cloud by Day.

And there shall be no leavened bread seen with thee in all thy coast seven days; neither shall there any thing of the flesh, which thou sacrificedst the first Day at even, remain all Night until the morning.

And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; And thou shalt fear Day And Night, And shalt have none assurance of thy life:

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein Day And Night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, And then thou shalt have good success.

Then Gideon took ten men of his servants, And did as the LORD had said unto him: And so it was, because he feared his father's household, And the men of the city, that he could not do it by Day, that he did it by Night.

And it was told the Gazites, saying, Samson is come hither. And they compassed him in, And laid wait for him all Night in the gate of the city, And were quiet all the Night, saying, In the morning, when it is Day, we shall kill him.

And when the man rose up to depart, he, And his concubine, And his servant, his father in law, the damsel's father, said unto him, Behold, now the Day draweth toward evening, I pray you tarry all Night: behold, the Day groweth to an end, lodge here, that thine heart may be merry; And to morrow get you early on your way, that thou mayest go home.

But the men would not hearken to him: so the man took his concubine, And brought her forth unto them; And they knew her, And abused her all the Night until the morning: And when the Day began to spring, they let her go.

And he stripped off his clothes also, And prophesied before Samuel in like manner, And lay down naked all that Day And all that Night. Wherefore they say, Is Saul also among the prophets?

They were a wall unto us both by Night And Day, all the while we were with them keeping the sheep.

Then Saul fell straightway all along on the earth, And was sore afraid, because of the words of Samuel: And there was no strength in him; for he had eaten no bread all the Day, nor all the Night.

And they took up Asahel, And buried him in the sepulchre of his father, which was in Bethlehem. And Joab And his men went all Night, And they came to Hebron at break of Day.

That thine eyes may be open toward this house Night And Day, even toward the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there: that thou mayest hearken unto the prayer which thy servant shall make toward this place.

And let these my words, wherewith I have made supplication before the LORD, be nigh unto the LORD our God Day And Night, that he maintain the cause of his servant, And the cause of his people Israel at all times, as the matter shall require:

And these are the singers, chief of the fathers of the Levites, who remaining in the chambers were free: for they were employed in that work Day And Night.

That thine eyes may be open upon this house Day And Night, upon the place whereof thou hast said that thou wouldest put thy name there; to hearken unto the prayer which thy servant prayeth toward this place.

Let thine ear now be attentive, And thine eyes open, that thou mayest hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now, Day And Night, for the children of Israel thy servants, And confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I And my father's house have sinned.

Nevertheless we made our prayer unto our God, And set a watch against them Day And Night, because of them.

Likewise at the same time said I unto the people, Let every one with his servant lodge within Jerusalem, that in the Night they may be a guard to us, And labour on the Day.

Moreover thou leddest them in the Day by a cloudy pillar; And in the Night by a pillar of fire, to give them light in the way wherein they should go.

Yet thou in thy manifold mercies forsookest them not in the wilderness: the pillar of the cloud departed not from them by Day, to lead them in the way; neither the pillar of fire by Night, to shew them light, And the way wherein they should go.

The Day is thine, the Night also is thine: thou hast prepared the light And the sun.

In the Day of my trouble I sought the Lord: my sore ran in the Night, And ceased not: my soul refused to be comforted.

Therefore shalt thou fall in the Day, And the prophet also shall fall with thee in the Night, And I will destroy thy mother.

Seek him that maketh the seven stars And Orion, And turneth the shadow of death into the morning, And maketh the Day dark with Night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, And poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name:

Therefore Night shall be unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; And it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; And the sun shall go down over the prophets, And the Day shall be dark over them.

Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third Day, lest his disciples come by Night, And steal him away, And say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first.

And should sleep, And rise Night And Day, And the seed should spring And grow up, he knoweth not how.

And always, Night And Day, he was in the mountains, And in the tombs, crying, And cutting himself with stones.

And Jesus saith unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this Day, even in this Night, before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice.

And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry Day And Night unto him, though he bear long with them?

And in the Day time he was teaching in the temple; And at Night he went out, And abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives.

But their laying await was known of Saul. And they watched the gates Day And Night to kill him.

Therefore watch, And remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one Night And Day with tears.

Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God Day And Night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.

The Night is far spent, the Day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, And let us put on the armour of light.

Therefore are they before the throne of God, And serve him Day And Night in his temple: And he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.

And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, And strength, And the kingdom of our God, And the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God Day And Night.

And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever And ever: And they have no rest Day nor Night, who worship the beast And his image, And whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire And brimstone, where the beast And the false prophet are, And shall be tormented Day And Night for ever And ever.

And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by Day: for there shall be no Night there.
