Romans 5:2
By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. |
Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and i have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.
And i have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they were strangers.
And i have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered my covenant.
And i have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.
I have commanded my sanctified ones, i have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness.
i have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets.
Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as i have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
And she called the name of the LORD that spake unto her, Thou God seest me: for she said, have i also here looked after him that seeth me?
Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After i am waxed old shall i have pleasure, my lord being old also?
And he said unto him, See, i have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that i will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken.
And when she had done giving him drink, she said, i will draw <i>wateri> for thy camels also, until they have done drinking.
And she said, Behold my maid Bilhah, go in unto her; and she shall bear upon my knees, that i may also have children by her.
For indeed i was stolen away out of the land of the Hebrews: and here also have i done nothing that they should put me into the dungeon.
If a man also or a woman have in the skin of their flesh bright spots, <i>eveni> white bright spots;
If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood <i>shall bei> upon them.
also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day <i>shall bei> a sabbath, and on the eighth day <i>shall bei> a sabbath.
And <i>thati> i also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity:
And the LORD spake unto Aaron, Behold, i also have given thee the charge of mine heave offerings of all the hallowed things of the children of Israel; unto thee have i given them by reason of the anointing, and to thy sons, by an ordinance for ever.
also in the day of the firstfruits, when ye bring a new meat offering unto the LORD, after your weeks <i>be outi>, ye shall have an holy convocation; ye shall do no servile work:
Until the LORD have given rest unto your brethren, as well as unto you, and <i>untili> they also possess the land which the LORD your God hath given them beyond Jordan: and <i>theni> shall ye return every man unto his possession, which i have given you.
And the LORD was very angry with Aaron to have destroyed him: and i prayed for Aaron also the same time.
Then thou shalt say before the LORD thy God, i have brought away the hallowed things out of <i>minei> house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded me: i have not transgressed thy commandments, neither have i forgotten <i>themi>:
And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which <i>alsoi> shall not leave thee <i>eitheri> corn, wine, or oil, <i>ori> the increase of thy kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee.
Until the LORD have given your brethren rest, as <i>he hath giveni> you, and they also have possessed the land which the LORD your God giveth them: then ye shall return unto the land of your possession, and enjoy it, which Moses the LORD'S servant gave you on this side Jordan toward the sunrising.
Now therefore, i pray you, swear unto me by the LORD, since i have shewed you kindness, that ye will also shew kindness unto my father's house, and give me a true token:
Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which i commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put <i>iti> even among their own stuff.
If ye then have dealt truly and sincerely with Jerubbaal and with his house this day, <i>theni> rejoice ye in Abimelech, and let him also rejoice in you:
Turn again, my daughters, go <i>your wayi>; for i am too old to have an husband. If i should say, i have hope, <i>ifi> i should have an husband also to night, and should also bear sons;
Therefore also i have lent him to the LORD; as long as he liveth he shall be lent to the LORD. And he worshipped the LORD there.
In that day i will perform against Eli all <i>thingsi> which i have spoken concerning his house: when i begin, i will also make an end.
According to all the works which they have done since the day that i brought them up out of Egypt even unto this day, wherewith they have forsaken me, and served other gods, so do they also unto thee.
Now therefore, i pray thee, hearken thou also unto the voice of thine handmaid, and let me set a morsel of bread before thee; and eat, that thou mayest have strength, when thou goest on thy way.
And now the LORD shew kindness and truth unto you: and i also will requite you this kindness, because ye have done this thing.
And as since the time that i commanded judges <i>to bei> over my people Israel, and have caused thee to rest from all thine enemies. also the LORD telleth thee that he will make thee an house.
And David said unto Nathan, i have sinned against the LORD. And Nathan said unto David, The LORD also hath put away thy sin; thou shalt not die.
But if thou return to the city, and say unto Absalom, i will be thy servant, O king; <i>asi> i <i>have beeni> thy father's servant hitherto, so <i>willi> i now also <i>bei> thy servant: then mayest thou for me defeat the counsel of Ahithophel.
And the men of Israel answered the men of Judah, and said, We have ten parts in the king, and we have also more <i>righti> in David than ye: why then did ye despise us, that our advice should not be first had in bringing back our king? And the words of the men of Judah were fiercer than the words of the men of Israel.
And i have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days.
Because thine heart was tender, and thou hast humbled thyself before the LORD, when thou heardest what i spake against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and hast rent thy clothes, and wept before me; i also have heard <i>theei>, saith the LORD.
And the LORD said, i will remove Judah also out of my sight, as i have removed Israel, and will cast off this city Jerusalem which i have chosen, and the house of which i said, My name shall be there.
Now, behold, in my trouble i have prepared for the house of the LORD an hundred thousand talents of gold, and a thousand thousand talents of silver; and of brass and iron without weight; for it is in abundance: timber also and stone have i prepared; and thou mayest add thereto.
i know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart i have willingly offered all these things: and now have i seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.
Then came Shemaiah the prophet to Rehoboam, and <i>toi> the princes of Judah, that were gathered together to Jerusalem because of Shishak, and said unto them, Thus saith the LORD, Ye have forsaken me, and therefore have i also left you in the hand of Shishak.
And they burn unto the LORD every morning and every evening burnt sacrifices and sweet incense: the shewbread also <i>set they in orderi> upon the pure table; and the candlestick of gold with the lamps thereof, to burn every evening: for we keep the charge of the LORD our God; but ye have forsaken him.
also they have shut up the doors of the porch, and put out the lamps, and have not burned incense nor offered burnt offerings in the holy <i>placei> unto the God of Israel.
He wrote also letters to rail on the LORD God of Israel, and to speak against him, saying, As the gods of the nations of <i>otheri> lands have not delivered their people out of mine hand, so shall not the God of Hezekiah deliver his people out of mine hand.
Because thine heart was tender, and thou didst humble thyself before God, when thou heardest his words against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, and humbledst thyself before me, and didst rend thy clothes, and weep before me; i have even heard <i>theei> also, saith the LORD.
There have been mighty kings also over Jerusalem, which have ruled over all <i>countriesi> beyond the river; and toll, tribute, and custom, was paid unto them.
also i have made a decree, that whosoever shall alter this word, let timber be pulled down from his house, and being set up, let him be hanged thereon; and let his house be made a dunghill for this.
<i>Somei> also there were that said, We have mortgaged our lands, vineyards, and houses, that we might buy corn, because of the dearth.
There were also that said, We have borrowed money for the king's tribute, <i>and that uponi> our lands and vineyards.
And it yieldeth much increase unto the kings whom thou hast set over us because of our sins: also they have dominion over our bodies, and over our cattle, at their pleasure, and we <i>arei> in great distress.
This also <i>werei> an iniquity <i>to be punished byi> the judge: for i should have denied the God <i>that isi> above.
Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous <i>sinsi>; let them not have dominion over me: then shall i be upright, and i shall be innocent from the great transgression.
{<i>A Psalmi> of David.} Judge me, O LORD; for i have walked in mine integrity: i have trusted also in the LORD; <i>thereforei> i shall not slide. Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart. For thy lovingkindness <i>isi> before mine eyes: and i have walked in thy truth. i have not sat with vain persons, neither will i go in with dissemblers. read more i have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked. i will wash mine hands in innocency: so will i compass thine altar, O LORD: That i may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works. LORD, i have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth. Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men: In whose hands <i>isi> mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes. But as for me, i will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me. My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will i bless the LORD. show less
Now also when i am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until i have shewed thy strength unto <i>thisi> generation, <i>andi> thy power to every one <i>thati> is to come.
He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should i have satisfied thee.
My hands also will i lift up unto thy commandments, which i have loved; and i will meditate in thy statutes.
These <i>thingsi> also <i>belongi> to the wise. <i>It isi> not good to have respect of persons in judgment.
And who knoweth whether he shall be a wise <i>mani> or a fool? yet shall he have rule over all my labour wherein i have laboured, and wherein i have shewed myself wise under the sun. This <i>isi> also vanity.
<i>There isi> no end of all the people, <i>eveni> of all that have been before them: they also that come after shall not rejoice in him. Surely this also <i>isi> vanity and vexation of spirit.
If a man beget an hundred <i>childreni>, and live many years, so that the days of his years be many, and his soul be not filled with good, and also <i>thati> he have no burial; i say, <i>thati> an untimely birth <i>isi> better than he.
also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any <i>thingi> that is done under the sun.
i have commanded my sanctified ones, i have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, <i>eveni> them that rejoice in my highness.
<i>Theiri> bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eye shall not spare children.
The princes of Zoan are become fools, the princes of Noph are deceived; they have also seduced Egypt, <i>even they that arei> the stay of the tribes thereof.
But they also have erred through wine, and through strong drink are out of the way; the priest and the prophet have erred through strong drink, they are swallowed up of wine, they are out of the way through strong drink; they err in vision, they stumble <i>ini> judgment.
And none considereth in his heart, neither <i>is therei> knowledge nor understanding to say, i have burned part of it in the fire; yea, also i have baked bread upon the coals thereof; i have roasted flesh, and eaten <i>iti>: and shall i make the residue thereof an abomination? shall i fall down to the stock of a tree?
Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, i have spoken <i>iti>, i will also bring it to pass; i have purposed <i>iti>, i will also do it.
i have seen his ways, and will heal him: i will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners.
also in thy skirts is found the blood of the souls of the poor innocents: i have not found it by secret search, but upon all these.
They have healed also the hurt <i>of the daughteri> of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when <i>there isi> no peace.
i will scatter them also among the heathen, whom neither they nor their fathers have known: and i will send a sword after them, till i have consumed them.
They have built also the high places of Baal, to burn their sons with fire <i>fori> burnt offerings unto Baal, which i commanded not, nor spake <i>iti>, neither came <i>iti> into my mind:
i have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah.
And now have i given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have i given him also to serve him.
For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; i have put a yoke of iron upon the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they shall serve him: and i have given him the beasts of the field also.
Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, i will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the LORD.
<i>Theni> may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.
i have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending <i>themi>, saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which i have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me.
<i>There shall bei> no more praise of Moab: in Heshbon they have devised evil against it; come, and let us cut it off from <i>beingi> a nation. also thou shalt be cut down, O Madmen; the sword shall pursue thee.
From the cry of Heshbon <i>eveni> unto Elealeh, <i>and eveni> unto Jahaz, have they uttered their voice, from Zoar <i>eveni> unto Horonaim, <i>asi> an heifer of three years old: for the waters also of Nimrim shall be desolate.
i have laid a snare for thee, and thou art also taken, O Babylon, and thou wast not aware: thou art found, and also caught, because thou hast striven against the LORD.
Wherefore, <i>asi> i live, saith the Lord GOD; Surely, because thou hast defiled my sanctuary with all thy detestable things, and with all thine abominations, therefore will i also diminish <i>theei>; neither shall mine eye spare, neither will i have any pity.
Therefore will i also deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will i have pity: and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, <i>yeti> will i not hear them.
He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man <i>withi> his destroying weapon in his hand.
And as for me also, mine eye shall not spare, neither will i have pity, <i>buti> i will recompense their way upon their head.
i will also smite mine hands together, and i will cause my fury to rest: i the LORD have said <i>iti>.
That they have committed adultery, and blood <i>isi> in their hands, and with their idols have they committed adultery, and have also caused their sons, whom they bare unto me, to pass for them through <i>the firei>, to devour <i>themi>.
Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day that i shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities i will also cause <i>youi> to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be builded.
And David my servant <i>shall bei> king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.
My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have i done no hurt.
i have also spoken by the prophets, and i have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets.
And i also have given you cleanness of teeth in all your cities, and want of bread in all your places: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.
And also i have withholden the rain from you, when <i>there werei> yet three months to the harvest: and i caused it to rain upon one city, and caused it not to rain upon another city: one piece was rained upon, and the piece whereupon it rained not withered.
As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant i have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein <i>isi> no water.
Ye said also, Behold, what a weariness <i>is iti>! and ye have snuffed at it, saith the LORD of hosts; and ye brought <i>that which wasi> torn, and the lame, and the sick; thus ye brought an offering: should i accept this of your hand? saith the LORD.
Therefore have i also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law.
And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found <i>himi>, bring me word again, that i may come and worship him also.
And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have <i>thyi> cloke also.
But i say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.
Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as i had pity on thee?
And Jesus said unto them, Verily i say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily i say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this <i>which is donei> to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, i have gained two other talents beside them.
And if ye lend <i>to themi> of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.
For i have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
He answered them, i have told you already, and ye did not hear: wherefore would ye hear <i>iti> again? will ye also be his disciples?
And other sheep i have, which are not of this fold: them also i must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, <i>andi> one shepherd.
If i then, <i>youri> Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.
A new commandment i give unto you, That ye love one another; as i have loved you, that ye also love one another.
Remember the word that i said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, i have found David the <i>soni> of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.
God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have i begotten thee.
We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell <i>youi> the same things by mouth.
After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After i have been there, i must also see Rome.
And Festus said, King Agrippa, and all men which are here present with us, ye see this man, about whom all the multitude of the Jews have dealt with me, both at Jerusalem, and <i>alsoi> here, crying that he ought not to live any longer.
Now i would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes i purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that i might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.
And not only <i>soi>, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also <i>in the likenessi> of <i>hisi> resurrection:
And not only <i>theyi>, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, <i>to witi>, the redemption of our body.
Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only i give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles.
Now ye are full, now ye are rich, ye have reigned as kings without us: and i would to God ye did reign, that we also might reign with you.
For what have i to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
But she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and i think also that i have the Spirit of God.
For i have received of the Lord that which also i delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the <i>samei> night in which he was betrayed took bread:
Moreover, brethren, i declare unto you the gospel which i preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what i preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
As also ye have acknowledged us in part, that we are your rejoicing, even as ye also <i>arei> ours in the day of the Lord Jesus.
We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, i believed, and therefore have i spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
And herein i give <i>myi> advice: for this is expedient for you, who have begun before, not only to do, but also to be forward a year ago.
Now therefore perform the doing <i>of iti>; that as <i>there wasi> a readiness to will, so <i>there may bei> a performance also out of that which ye have.
Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which i tell you before, as i have also told <i>youi> in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest i should have sorrow upon sorrow.
Though i might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, i more:
Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also <i>doi> ye.
Masters, give unto <i>youri> servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.
For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, even as they <i>havei> of the Jews:
But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also <i>to seei> you:
That no <i>mani> go beyond and defraud his brother in <i>anyi> matter: because that the Lord <i>isi> the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.
For the which cause i also suffer these things: nevertheless i am not ashamed: for i know whom i have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which i have committed unto him against that day.
So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have i begotten thee.
For every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices: wherefore <i>it isi> of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer.
That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship <i>isi> with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
