Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, i knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: And i was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, therei> thou hast that isi> thine. His lord answered and said unto him, Thoui> wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that i reap where i sowed not, and gather where i have not strawed: Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and theni> at my coming i should have received mine own with usury. Take therefore the talent from him, and give iti> unto him which hath ten talents. For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. show less
For the Son of man isi> as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and hei> to whom the Son will reveal himi>.
And the Lord said, who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom hisi> lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them theiri> portion of meat in due season?
He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet i am not worthy to unloose.
Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard thisi>, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?
And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, andi> of the country of Cyprus,
This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and withi> our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us:
And he said, who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, i am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it isi> hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
Send therefore to Joppa, and call hither Simon, whose surname is Peter; he is lodged in the house of onei> Simon a tanner by the sea side: who, when he cometh, shall speak unto thee.
Then Saul, (who also is calledi> Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him,
But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? isi> God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (i speak as a man)
Therefore it isi> of faith, that it might bei> by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
(As it is written, i have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, eveni> God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.
Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, eveni> to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.
There isi> therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
who isi> he that condemneth? It isi> Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Whose arei> the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ camei>, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from abovei>:)
For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed arei> pure; but it isi> evil for that man who eateth with offence. It isi> good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thingi> whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak. Hast thou faith? have iti> to thyself before God. Happy isi> he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.
Likewise greeti> the church that is in their house. Salute my wellbeloved Epaenetus, who is the firstfruits of Achaia unto Christ.
who then is Paul, and who isi> Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
For this cause have i sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as i teach every where in every church.
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God isi> faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear iti>.
For if i make you sorry, who is he then that maketh me glad, but the same which is made sorry by me?
To the one we arei> the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who isi> sufficient for these things?
Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing isi> God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.
And herein i give myi> advice: for this is expedient for you, who have begun before, not only to do, but also to be forward a year ago.
And not thati> only, but who was also chosen of the churches to travel with us with this grace, which is administered by us to the glory of the same Lord, and declaration ofi> your ready mind:
And what isi> the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
Wherefore remember, that ye beingi> in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between usi>;
Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that i should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
And to make all meni> see what isi> the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
Whose end isi> destruction, whose God is theiri> belly, and whosei> glory isi> in their shame, who mind earthly things.)
And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all thingsi> he might have the preeminence.
When Christ, who isi> our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
All my state shall Tychicus declare unto you, who isi> a beloved brother, and a faithful minister and fellowservant in the Lord:
With Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is onei> of you. They shall make known unto you all things which are donei> here.
And Jesus, which is called Justus, who are of the circumcision. These only are myi> fellowworkers unto the kingdom of God, which have been a comfort unto me.
Epaphras, who is onei> of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.
Which in his times he shall shew, who isi> the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified arei> all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
For it isi> impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
For such an high priest became us, who isi> holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, makethi> the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.
Now of the things which we have spoken this isi> the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of ouri> faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
who isi> a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
And from Jesus Christ, who isi> the faithful witness, andi> the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
i John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
i know thy works, and where thou dwellest, eveni> where Satan's seat isi>: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas wasi> my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.
And i saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?
And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, who isi> like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong isi> the Lord God who judgeth her.
